In the history of mankind, many republics have risen, have flourished for a less or greater time, and then have fallen because their citizens lost the power of governing themselves and thereby of governing their state. TR

    1. They might be protesting because he’s taken his irritating, obnoxious, self-serving habit of lecturing American citizens on how to live their lives to a higher level–to everyone in the entire world! If he has to create a huge whopper to get his point across so be it. He’s got high ambitions, this Obama guy. ;+} Remember this from his speech in Athens this week:

      “ATHENS — President Obama warned Tuesday that Americans and people around the world “are going to have to guard against a rise in a crude sort of nationalism, or ethnic identity, or tribalism” taking root amid the populist movements that are gaining currency around the world.”

      Note: “…People around the world….” That’s everybody on the planet. All of us. Obama’s threatening, by his lies, the entire planet and any Martians zooming around in UFOs that they’d better get in line with his world view or else we’re all going to, I dunno, disappear in a puff of smoke.

      Obama has a bad case of Cassandra Syndrome, where a person speaks all manner of threats, warnings, opinions and observations, and no one believes that person. In the case of Obama, no one believes him because we’ve all observed that he is a compulsive liar.
      My assessment is that Obama suffers from Compulsive Liar Syndrome–his lying is that pronounced in his day to day living. Compulsive lying often develops when individuals are very young and increases over a lifetime. Gradually throughout childhood and adolescence into adulthood, lying becomes more and more frequent until it becomes the norm for that person. Research suggests these people lie because it gives them a sense of control in their day to day activities (think of Obama’s chaotic early childhood). As we see in Obama (and Hillary, for that matter) those with compulsive liar syndrome experience a sense of power over situations when they lie and become uneasy and uncomfortable when forced to tell the truth. Dishonest behavior becomes a habit, which then leads to classification in the compulsive lying disorder category.

      I know, I know. Too wonky. But there we are. ;+}

      1. VI guess Obama didn´t expect this. Leftist demonstrators in Athens protest violently. Well nothing good happened in Greece during the last eight years, many Greeks are poor and despairing, and now their country is flooded with migrants thanks to Obamas foreign politics. So, his next stop is Berlin ? Wonder what they are up to there. I hope they will give him a really “warm” welcome as he and his footman Merkel really wrecked the country.

    I feel that the lid is coming off here in Europe thanks to the election of Trump. It is so relieving. It is deliverance ! But I read that Soros and his accomplices are plotting and conspiring….How ironic, white working class has become the enemies of liberal/leftist globalists.

    1. I’m glad to hear that Mr. Trump’s victory seems to have affected Europe in a positive way. Barry must be butt-hurt- imagine, the Greeks don’t like him! I hope the Germans protest too.

    1. A lot of people do not know that Planned Parenthood spends multi-millions every year on lobbying. I’ve been able to use figures like that to gain a grudging admittance from keyboard “supporters” that perhaps PP does not need tax dollars for funding since they are turning around and using that much or more to lobby with. It cuts into PP’s image as a “compassionate” provider of “health care” for poor women.

  2. Alt Right. For awhile now I have been been disturbed by the rise of this new term, this new “basket”. It’s definition is free forming, but it seems to be where people — Dems and Republicans — are placing people with whom they disagree.

    I find it as disturbing or perhaps part and parcel with the trend that Van Jones is putting forth with his “whitelash”.

    Anyway, there has been recent talk about Steve Bannon … definitely being pitched into the AR basket. And now Twitter, supposedly in an effort to clean up and be responsible which as we all know is a joke — it is a purge — has now banned or eliminated what it considers to be “alt right” people and groups. And yet “alt right” is arbitrary at best.

    I find stuff like this extremely disturbing.

    1. Progressives insist on forcing Conservatives to use their terminology for things they support, while refusing to use proper identifiers for Conservatives and our causes. That is a primary tactic of theirs to “Control the narrative”.

      The alt-right may be our best hope, and certainly will be if Republicans don’t step up and pass President Trump’s legislative priorities without any Poison Pills or weasel clauses.

    2. Grace, it’s a great example of linguistic programming applied to control the thought process. They invent a word or a phrase, and people who are prone to suggestion fall right into the trap. “Yea! Let’s believe that” they say. That word or phrase–“whitelash” in your example– becomes a verbal and conceptional benchmark that the “smart” set hitch onto and ride to get them through whatever the perceived crisis of the day might be. In this case, the crisis for the Progressives, Marxists and anarchists is Trump’s victory, obviously. Talk about trained seals honking for a meal.

      1. All true people. However, I still see it as very dangerous. They are using the normal racist, but also anti semitic, and vaguely Hitlerian references as well. Twitter banned some accounts and people recently under this “alt right” charge.

        Both parties have extremes, but moderate Republicans and conservatives are being tossed into this basket. Oh well….
