In the history of mankind, many republics have risen, have flourished for a less or greater time, and then have fallen because their citizens lost the power of governing themselves and thereby of governing their state. TR

  1. Coffee with Comey…. pat on the back..

” Atta boy Jimmy, we may finally be able to get uncle Joe in the driver’s seat. Magnificently played..”

    1. But … there still is that little matter of Podesta’s BFF at DOJ, Kadisky (sp) heading up “assistance” at FBI.

We might have to let that play through.

  2. Amazing. I just saw a headline at Drudge that said Democrats in 4 states were suing Trump for voter intimidation.

Seems like it was just yesterday that we had two Democrat operatives talk about inciting violence and voter intimidation on tape — for all the world to see. If the media allowed it, of course.

    Crazy stuff.

  3. Now the Pope is leaving but I think that his visit was a light in dark and foggy November. The event in the Cathedral in Lund was wonderful, the Pope was very kind and praised the Reformation, many children and women ( we have a female Lutheran Archbishop) participated in the ceremonies ( the papal entourage was overwhelmingly male, some counterbalance was needed ) and it all ended with the Pope and the chairman of the Lutheran World Foundation signing a joint statement of cooperation and friendship. A historic event, as a matter of fact. And today the Pope held a giant Mass in Malmo. The participants here were mostly not Swedish, many are immigrants, many are coming from all over Northern Europe. It really is wonderful that people gather in a spirit of friendship, togetherness and joy in this world that often is so divided and hostile. So, even if Sweden is a very secular country, I believe that many of us were impressed by the Pope. And what I find especially appealing in Catholicism is the cult of the holy mother, Mary. At last, a woman to worship in a religion !

    1. Even though I am not supportive of this Pope, I am glad that you and the people of Sweden were blessed with light and the spirit of peace from his visit.

Re. the Blessed Virgin Mary. You might appreciate this. We say the rosary to her. It is essentially a repetition of the Hail Mary, a short prayer. I had occasion to spend a lot of time in treatment rooms and scanning tubes. It is difficult to remain still and focused. So, I used my fingers as rosary beads and lie there and say the Hail Mary over and over again. It was very good for me. And maybe I got some blessings from it as well! :) Glad you enjoyed it SWL

    1. These days, too many “investigative reporters” working for the corporate media are part of the problem, not part of the solution. They are like drunk parrots trying to convince us they are soaring eagles.
