In the history of mankind, many republics have risen, have flourished for a less or greater time, and then have fallen because their citizens lost the power of governing themselves and thereby of governing their state. TR

  1. Trump has torpedoed himself, this time it could be fatal. It would take a herculean effort to rise above this fray and the media stress.

Can Pence grab the torch and run?

    1. Saw a lot of talk about Pence and whether he could or could not run as President. Don’t think he can. Don’t think he should.

In a country that has lived through trash talking LBJ and endured Bill Clinton’s actual sexual assaults this should not be unconquerable. And it is not unsurprising coming from the Clintons and the Dems.

What does not help, and what I hope is a fatal error for them, is the Bush/Ryan coup against Trump. Stupidly denying this is not to help HRC. I will vote for Trump as an R. And then I will forever become a registered Independent.

      1. I read somewhere that Mr. Trump was a Democrat when he said those crass things – so that gives him a pass! Oh yeah, Scott Biao? said it.

  2. FWIW my Sunday column:
As MSM rages over Trump words, Hillary and Obamacare cause REAL damage. My Sunday column:

It was timely when written and submitted yet the last 48 hours has already made it “old news”.

Wondering out loud what thoughts are out there regarding the early voting the left is always so eager to push for. While I can understand absentee for specific reasons, I have never for the life of me understood the idea of allowing voting more than a month out from a Presidential election.

    Have a great Sunday all.

    1. Another urgent issue that falls to the wayside because the media decided the p word was more important. Thanks for focusing on something of importance. It makes a difference.

  3. Just north of where we live is Rickenbacher AFB.
It is the temporary home of many F-22 Raptors moved here from Langley AFB in VA due to the storm.
The base is one home of the Air National Guard’s KC-135 tankers.

DeniseVB has reported on another site that they are getting hammered by high winds and a lot of rain.

Also, many A-10 Warthogs have been moved inland due to the storm.
