    • And elsewhere someone brought up this old but true fact:

Bill and Hillary Clinton have no right to criticize anybody else’s tax returns. These are the same people who once tried to take a $3.50 tax deduction for each pair of Bill’s used underwear that they gave away.

        • Yes, the Gambino family, good comparison. Wikileaks: According to State Department sources Hillary openly inquired during a meeting : “Cant we just drone this guy ? ” ( Assange ).
And leaks report that Colin Powell warned of Hillary and her “unbridled ambitions”.
Scary with a character like this in power. Mrs Caligula.

      • That’s a good one! You must have the original purchase receipts attached to your return if you wish to be that picky; per our tax accountant.

    • SL. and the New York Times also used the same perfectly legal accounting feature (“net loss carried forward”, it’s called) Trump and the Clintons used. It’s very common and not in the least suspicious. Except in the case of the Clintons, perhaps. They lie about everything all the time, so their accounting practices are always under suspicion.

      • Yes Marcus, I read that too.
It is common practice, we have similar rules. The Trump tax report is one of the biggest non-news during the campaign. Who did they fool ? Some illiterates ? The interesting aspect here is, who leaked ?

        • It’s an example of the full mutual cooperation of the Hillary people and the MSM in all matters during this election period. It’s shameful and destructive to the whole process. And they, of course, actually believe no one is noticing. But we are.

  1. There seems to be an usually open amount of coverage about voter fraud and illegals voting. Now we all know if this wasn’t to the media and Dem’s advantage most of it would not see the light of day.

So, I have concluded that his is just another division on the assault on our election process. Calling for federal involvement … to keep voter fraud down , of course./sarc

Is anyone else having problems with these skinny columns? No matter what I do I can’t make them “normal”. Suggestions? Maybe what I see on my screen is not on yours also. dunno. Thanks.

    • Grace, we’re not seeing “skinny columns”. I wonder if there’s a setting issue on your ‘puter screen as you suggest? Perhaps the voodoo sorcerer down the street has cast a spell? ;+]

      • Most likely on the sorcerer spell!

If you wouldn’t mind — how do you see my comments — at some point do they become long and skinny? Also, do you have any idea where to poke around for a fix? It does not happen on any other site.

Or perhaps this is a subtle suggestion … that I limit my comments to 3 words. A good idea also. Thanks.

        • Your comments appear as a perfectly normal width on my screen, so it’s possible that your screen settings are off when using this site. You might doodle around with your settings a a bit to see if that makes a difference on your screen. Here’s a site that might help…. it’s for Vista, but you can search for guidance on setting adjustments for whatever operating system you have. This might give you a little start on your solution. Otherwise, a trip to Lourdes to pray for a miracle might be in order. ;+}

Odd that your column width issue shows up only on his site.

          • thanks I will check it out. Because it only happens on this site I have to be careful to not make a change that could have an effect on others. I have my screen at max + and am only getting 3-4 words per line. when I came here from elsewhere your comment was at 1-2 w/l. So…as long as it shows normal, only an irritant for me. Thx.

    • Lester Holt’s question at the end of the candidate’s “debate” was so curious – Would the candidates support the winner of the election?

  2. Happy New Year Keith and any one else on this forum that it applies to.

Thank you Keith for giving us this special place for all of us to ask our questions, give our thoughts, ideas, rants and jokes.

  3. OT, but notable. Today is the 24th anniversary of Barry and Michelle’s arranged marriage. They were married Oct. 3, 1992. And they said it wouldn’t last.

      • For sure, they would have. There would have been a network show televising the whole thing> We would have heard Barry making a flowery speech, Michelle would have been wearing another mysterious fashion statement. Bare bellied dancers would have carried Barry onto the stage, and out of tune singers would have been crooning the glories and majesty of the Obama phenomenon. Hail, Oh Mighty Barry. The dusty Styrofoam Roman columns would have been dragged out of the WH basement and displayed strategically for all to see as a reminder of Barry’s Imperial majesty. The only thing missing would have been the sweaty gladiators and the hungry lions and perhaps some Christians tied to wooden pillars and set on fire.

  4. So, what is the Doofus-in-Chief up to today? Oh, just another excuse to act like an idiot and schmooze with their adored “celebrities”.

Remember last March the Obamas both went to South by Southwest in Austin, (separately, of course), yet another “first”:

First Appearance at the Internationally – Recognized Event in Austin, TX for President Barack Obama at SXSW Interactive and First Lady Michelle Obama at SXSW Music

    AUSTIN, TEXAS (March 2, 2016)

South by Southwest® (SXSW®) is honored to announce President Barack Obama will appear as part of a Keynote Conversation at SXSW Interactive on Friday, March 11 and First Lady Michelle Obama will be the opening Keynote at SXSW Music on Wednesday, March 16. This marks the first time in the 30-year history of SXSW that a sitting President and the First Lady have participated in the event, which is known for showcasing the most innovative ideas and creative talent of our time.

So, today – in his final few months in office – Obummer has decided to hold “the first annual South by South Lawn”:

On Monday, the President will participate in the first-ever South by South Lawn event at the White House, joining Leonardo DiCaprio and Dr. Katharine Heyhoe for a discussion on climate change. SXSL, inspired by South by Southwest®, is a festival of ideas, art, and action, and brings together creators, innovators, and organizers from across the country for a day of music, film, and conversation.

Mark Knoller tweeted this statement from the White House:

Mark Knoller ‏@markknoller Inspired by @sxsw in Austin, WH today hosts SXSL (South by South Lawn) to celebrate “the spirit of innovation.” From @POTUS email today:

“Our task is to come together and build a future that’s more inclusive, tolerant, and full of opportunity for everybody. And I’ve never been more optimistic that we will.

As President, I’ve spent the last eight years finding the best people to help us meet that challenge. People who reject cynicism. People who turn change into a force for good. People who believe that, no matter who we are, where we come from, who we love, or what God we pray to, we — the people — can create a world that’s worthy of our brightest hopes.

So, today, I’m inviting a bunch of these folks to my backyard for South by South Lawn”
