It’s not that we didn’t see this coming, but it looks like Obama’s getting ready to give us and the Congress another slap in the face.
“Obama touts plan for immigration reform at stop in Las Vegas”
From the story:
“In his first visit to Nevada since his re-election, President Barack Obama on Tuesday unveiled his plan for comprehensive immigration reform that would provide a path to U.S. citizenship for 11 million immigrants now living in the United States illegally.”

Will he use executive action to pass this? Or will our wimpy Congress pass it?
What Congress?
Happy Fathers Day to all Dad’s at WHD. Have a wonderful day.
Hi, Lee–was going to say the same…I looked around and we have no fathers in our orbit to celebrate. Sad. Big story in the Post on what a great Dad Obama is…isn’t this about the billionth such story? Still, he does have an intact family, for all the flaws we may see in it.
Hi Star. I skipped that news of him, and his trip.
x2
Probably the Congress will learn about it when they read about his action in the Washington Post. It would seem near impossible to have a such a hapless, spineless, feeble and faint-hearted Congress as we do now. But that’s where we are.
11 million new Democratic votes for crooked Hillary.
The Obama regime will not stop at anything to insure sucess in its finial power grab.
And I’ll add.
Don’t expect the Republicans to do squat. Their to busy plotting to f**k over Trump.
Backstabbing dogs.
The fact that the Republican elites are pulling out all the stops to scuttle and sabotage their own Party nominee for President (which he honestly earned by virtue of the primaries and caucuses, no matter who the elites preferred as a candidate) shines a huge, hot, blaring spotlight on their own current deteriorating and malfunctioning nature. We can all see it, clear as day.

Obviously, I am pulling for them–but I think it’s a long shot. I think the whole country loses either way and will have to regroup.
Well, that voting would be a ways off if this even happened…
I don’t think he even bothers with the formality of Executive Orders or Action. I just think he just phones down to the basement and that DHS rat JJ scurries to send out the orders.
Opening the floodgates for illegal aliens is high up on the agenda handed to Obama when he got elected. He will not deviate from that agenda. Like a trained lab rat, he hears the bell being rung by his trainers, he responds accordingly. On the other hand, he does nothing to reduce the incredible bureaucratic burden for those who want to enter the country legally, according to the rules, and become good citizens.
Happy Fathers Day! Humor for the day:
Hubby got a haircut yesterday.
The barber (barberette?) handed him a mirror to see the haircut in the back of his head.
Hubby glanced in the mirror and said, “It looks fine, but I can still see that shiny bare spot.”
She patted the spot and said, “Oh – that’s just your solar panel.”
Love it!
Good one!
Priceless!!!
big smile
Why didn’t obama acknowledge Teddy Roosevelt and his contribution to conserving our natural resources and national parks? He has trouble seeing past his own nose. obama is a self-serving child.
Well, besides the fact that he always likes to give himself full credit, he would NEVER give a nod to any Republican/”Bull Moose”/non-Democrat.
No. He use added his own self aggrandizement on the WH.gov page describing all previous presidents. I looked it up a few years ago. Such gall, adding himself to their history.
Something interesting and fun to look at to see how far we have come. Not sure if that distance that is good or bad:

Very interesting! Thanks for the link, Aileen!
Cool. Thanks.
Imagine. A huge Lincoln logs project.
Great link Aileen. And what a beautiful house it is? All done without power tools, the internet or even phones. Amazing.
Today’s Sunday column was intended to be a primer for the left on Islam’s history of violence against the west and incompatibility with American values. Then Obama opened his mouth Tuesday and mocked the “radical Islamic terrorism” issue.
So if you’re sick and tired of this petulant little arsehat lecturing us on “that’s not who we are”, you might enjoy turning it back with “just who are YOU, Mr. President”.
Happy Father’s Day to all and God protect those deployed and in harms way that we are able to gather her today:

You nailed it, Geoff.
That’s a superb article, Geoff. You have a strong, clear voice in your writing, and it comes through powerfully in the article. Keep on keeping on with your work! Illegitimi non carborundum! (and I know you won’t let that happen. ;+}
Getting ready to read this. Looking forward to it.
Did not see you when I went tin foil.
Two thumbs up Geoff.
Well said.
Smashing Geoff! Well done. I am surprised you got it published.
“just who are YOU, Mr. President”.
Geoff, Obama used to brag that his (flashbulb) ‘smile’ was his secret weapon – it could open any door and disarm anyone who dared to question his mysterious background.
The best explanation I can come up with is that Obama does Alinsky better than Alinsky himself! It’s his secret weapon, along with that disgusting faux smile!
You are closer to the truth than you might think you are.
“Saul Alinsky’s Son Praises Obama”
http://www.thenewamerican.com/usnews/politics/item/5750-saul-alinskys-son-praises-obama
Meant to add this, from the story cited:
“Barack Obama’s training in Chicago by the great community organizers is showing its effectiveness. It is an amazingly powerful format, and the method of my late father always works to get the message out and get the supporters on board. When executed meticulously and thoughtfully, it is a powerful strategy for initiating change and making it really happen. Obama learned his lesson well.
“I am proud to see that my father’s model for organizing is being applied successfully beyond local community organizing to affect the Democratic campaign in 2008. It is a fine tribute to Saul Alinsky as we approach his 100th birthday.”
Says it all. Suspicions confirmed and all that.
As usual, perfectly stated.
Can you send baby 0 a copy?
Great article as always Geoff.
My husband grew up without knowing his dad. While a child, his mom would tell him that he could not have or do certain things because his dad wasn’t around. Needless to say, he grew up very wary of the man who fathered him.
Fortunately, shortly before his dad died, my husband and his dad met and talked briefly. He talked with this man, who he had always thought to be dreadful, and learned he was just a regular guy, who suffered from PTSD and lost dreams after his stint in WWII. He wasn’t an ogre.
And then we had children. This man who grew up fatherless was and still is the best father in the world. How did he know how to be a great dad? By knowing what he wished his dad had done with him and following his heart.
Happy Father’s Day.
A beautiful Father’s Day tribute.
Thank you for sharing such a personal story.
God bless this man and God bless his loving wife. Thank you for sharing.
Very nice. Proof we can learn anew how to be good people in every generation. We can rise above our own early difficulties. Yes, we can. I suspect you had a lot to do with helping him grow into the great father he is today.
Good story, Marjo…My own dad was one of those scary dads–you never knew who was walking in the room. And he carried a gun. But my two brothers broke the mold and are wonderful hands-on Dads, very close to their kids, but strong and protective. The cycle can be changed or broken. Unfortunately, although my child’s dad came from an intact (undivorced, anyway) family, he abandoned two families himself–incl ours. He saw no percentage in manning up.
Love this MarjoJimbo!!
Wishing a Happy Father’s Day to Keith and all of the WHD Dads!
Yes, all…

I wrote two controversial comments about our government. They vaporized. Did not even make it to mod jail.
Tried again. Vaporizing at 3x now. Common to all beyond the topic is a link to today’s AOS book thread. Very odd.
A little humor never hurt anyone.
Don’t mess with Sasquatch.

I may be wrong, but I don’t expect the propaganda corps to report this.
If this happened at a Hillary campaign it would on every station, every hour.
http://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2016/06/anti-trump-protester-arrested-trying-take-police-officers-gun-trump-vegas-rally/
…at a Hillary rally…it would be on every tv station…
I agree, the MSM would work themselves into a frenzy showing video over and over if that happened at a Hillary rally.
Thanks for the link.
X3 Marcus.
If the party elites spent one tenth of their effort trying to screw Trump out of the nomination and used that energy to back him, he could waltz into the WH.
Or–if you like him so much and agree with his positions so much–tell HIM to respect his position, get a game plan, create an organization, put in his money or raise some, and get with it. It’s not the so-called elites (by which I guess you mean people who have dedicated their lives to politics) fault he is tanking at this moment.
It’s not the so-called elites (by which I guess you mean people who have dedicated their lives to politics)…
and reaped much power and money which they are loathe to lose to such a common American.
UGGGGGGGGGGGGG so sick of politics,
Go America
Ironically, even one whose central ethic is money and power…
Apologies to all that I had to bug out of conversation yesterday due to family issues but just wanted to say I’m glad you liked the column and the discussion it started. (Of course I got a hate filled email last night from one of your local lefties calling me a “radical rightwing terrorist” but that’s par for the course these days! lol)
Keep Fighting the Good Fight all, this nation’s in for some very rough times.
well, at least he didn’t call you a “radical rightwing God fearing terrorist”. That’s something.
Again, you certainly did your part fighting the good fight with that article.
