In the history of mankind, many republics have risen, have flourished for a less or greater time, and then have fallen because their citizens lost the power of governing themselves and thereby of governing their state. TR

Where Trump Needs to Win to Beat Hillary

A pretty good rundown below from GOP pollster Scott Rasmussen detailing Trump’s path to victory over Clinton. Basically, it runs through the Midwest.

If Trump can pick up industrial states where worker disenfranchisement has fueled both his campaign and that of Sen Bernie Sanders — Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, and Wisconsin, all states Mitt Romney lost — plus maybe North Carolina, he wins. He doesn’t even need Florida, which Obama only barely won in 2012. And he could lose swing states like Nevada, Colorado, and Virginia.

Electoral map

This is very, very doable, and a lot of Democrats and prognosticators are deceiving themselves. Shocking as it may seem to many, Donald Trump could be president.

BTW, here’s a map where you can play around with the electoral votes yourself.

  1. Interesting. I think he’ll take FL, too. So it may not be a nail-biter. Hillary is swooning. I pray she holds on for the nomination (did I say that?) because Bernie would take a number of votes that might otherwise go to Trump. I think he’s the tougher opponent by the time November gets her. Hillary is revealing herself to be mean and arrogant, which we knew, but surprisingly ignorant and slow to understand, which maybe comes as a surprise. She has slipped a good deal since 2008; she reminds mentally of an aging Reagan but with a bad attitude. She has no living business being in any elected office, much less president. I think that’s becoming more obvious even to the MSM.

    1. As the fog around this election season begins to lift, it seems obvious to me (IMHO, of course) that Hillary will never, ever become President of the United States. Too many Democrats don’t like her (voting for Sanders or, as reported, moving to Trump instead), she has virtually no support from Independents–the largest voting block in the country–men in general despise her.

She’s lost the youth vote (going to Sanders) as well the trust of women who are furious that she enabled (and still does) Bill’s sexual transgressions, and tried to destroy the lives of the women Bill attacked. Her “use by” date has long past, and her dream of being Queen of the United States will never come true.

Additionally, she appears to have extremely serious health issues which are manifesting in physical and psychologically ways. That’s serous boding for whomever is sitting in the Oval Office.

And yet to come…by the time Trump gets done with her, she will be a mound of gelatinous ooze on the cutting room floor. Just the way I see it now.

  2. OT
I ran across this this morning.
It is about 45 minutes long and worth every second.
It concerns the history of radical Islam, and he uses graphics to show the relentless march against the western civilization and any religious belief that is not Muslim.

The damage through the years these animals have caused is astounding.

I learned a lot watching this.
    I had no idea.

    1. AFVeT, many thanks, very interesting. I am very, very worried about the entrance of Islam in our Western society now. We will all experience the negative impact sooner or later but it will probably be too late. Too many Westerners are blind and naive. Islam is , in my opinion, an aggressive and intolerant “religion”, based on oppression, tyranny, violence and ignorance.

      1. Winston Churchill knew the truth about islam.

“No stronger retrograde force exists in the world. Far from being moribund, Mohammedanism is a militant and proselytizing faith. It has already spread throughout Central Africa, raising fearless warriors at every step; and were it not that Christianity is sheltered in the strong arms of science, the science against which it had vainly struggled, the civilisation of modern Europe might fall, as fell the civilisation of ancient Rome.”

  3. I never could understand why the LSM ignored HRC’s ties to WS, in particular GS, who aided and abetted Chelsea’s CLUELESS husband in his Greek hedge fund start-up.
After two yrs of continuous losses, it was finally closed down with a 90% loss.

This crime family is so damn corrupt, it boggles the mind.
Chelsea needs to be dealt with promptly – first, for her employment at a WS hedge fund until her mother declared her candidacy; and secondly, for her major involvement in the family slush fund business/Foundation after she left WS.

Who paid for that $10M Manhattan Penthouse? The Greek hedge fund or the Clinton slush fund? Just curious.

Couldn’t have been Marc Mevinsky’s father – he still owes ‘investors’ $10M after going to prison for 7 yrs for bank and mail fraud.

(To be fair, Ivanka’s FIL also served time in the slammer).

Honestly, I don’t see how HRC can end up being the nominee, much less Potus. Trump has a treasure trove of illicit activities committed by the Clinton crime family. It’s up to him and how he uses it.
Nothing will surprise me at this point.
    Never a dull moment!

    Now this:

    1. Trump has already fired a round or two toward this Warren character–calling her a phony Indian, etc. He’s ready for her and Biden, though I do think he’ll go relatively easy on Biden. Just a gut feeling for now.

  4. I honestly think if Trump doesn’t cave to the elites (aka Ryan’s demands on behalf of the establishment)to behave more Romney-ish (how did that work out?), I do think Team Trump would keep all 50 states in play for the general.

    We’re still 6 months out.
