As of now, I am in control here, in the White House

Video || Obama Statement on National Security

President Obama tries to get it straight about how threatened we are, now that the government has issued contradictory statements about how imperiled to feel.

What this included was a big recitation of all the wonderful things Obama is doing.

Meantime, ISIS gets stronger and stronger. Hope you’re feeling safe.

  1. Man! This guy really likes to hear praise about himself, even if its coming from him.
I’m beginning to believe he’s detached from reality.

  2. Sure, what skin is it off his back to tell us to be safe as we fly to visit family today and tomorrow??? He’s not going anywhere and when he does he has his own plane and fleet of secret service. The rest of us, well, we’re supposed to say something if we see something. Gee, thanks, for nothing.

  3. If you see something, say something….

I see a feckless leader who shies away from the battle to protect the homeland, a person who truly does not want to lead, while considering himself a leader, an elected official who refuses to uphold the oath of office, a person who cannot face the enemy and call them for what they are, a person who
denies his responsibility while pointing fingers at others, a person who is not respected worldwide.

Note that I refer to him as a person, for a man would face the challenge head on. This is not a man of integrity and strength, it is a weak and tired person who no longer cherishes his role.

Be safe, be wise… Happy Thanksgiving to all

    • Meanwhile, I see former Seals and others give useful advice. If someone is shooting, get low–or better yet, run–they are ill-trained and prob can’t hit a moving target, esp a lot going in all directions. On a plane, a ballpoint can stab pretty well. Police need to act fast–in Paris the delay time at the stadium was when the deaths occurred.

  4. We can all feel safe now that The One has pronounced us safe, more or less. Easy for him to say with dozens of people all around him to protect him lest he trip on a pebble.

  5. OT, but very good stuff. In this current age of babied college students demanding safe zones for their ranting, and demand their 1st Amendment right, while denying others the same right, here’s some advice to his students from Dr. Everett Piper, President of Oklahoma Wesleyan University in Bartlesville, Okla. If this doesn’t make you stand up and cheer, nothing will. Put this guy on your Heroes list.

It’s titled: “This is Not a Day Care. It’s a University!”
