  1. Meets with Hollande for 75 min? That’s it? The guy flew across an ocean to meet with the Prez and gets gets a bagel, schmear, and a cup of joe to go? This is all window dressing, once again.

There is no plan from Obama…that’s the plan.

And sorry, but, why did O not just swing that 747 towards Paris on Sunday and save Hollande the trip? Utter arrogance. Did not attend Charlie Hebdo solidarity March, called the Paris attacks a setback, now Hollande must bow to him…

Shameful behavior, I am embarrassed for my country.

    • It’s Obama as usual. Completely detached from reality, not tuned in to what’s going on, inappropriate behavior, unraveled thought process, clueless.

If Obama had been President when Japan struck Pearl Harbor, his “Day of Infamy” speech to the Congress would have gone something like this:

“Yesterday, Dec. 7, 1941, the United States of America was justifiably attacked by naval and air forces of the Empire of Japan.

“We had it coming because the history of the United States shows us that we are an evil, colonizing country. We are a selfish nation, imposing our mean-spirited will on peaceful countries around the world. We all know this is true.

“I have therefore signed an Executive Order authorizing $15o billion be sent to Premier of Japan Tojo. He may use my generous offer in any way he chooses. He has also ensured me that he will personally inspect the war making machine that the evil Republicans keep insisting he is building to destroy the world.

“Anyone who criticizes me, the President of the United States, will be put on a watch list and I will personally see that they are punished.

” Finally, everything is just fine, and the American people have no need to question anything I do. So just shut up and stop irritating me.”

  2. This is a very trivial point; I know that, but: foreign dignitaries don’t seem to be offered lunch after morning meetings nor, indeed, invited to a “working” lunch.

Is this some sort of tactful dismissal? Diplomatic snub? Does Obama get up ‘way ahead of schedule to have 10:15 a.m. meetings so he can be done by noon?

  3. Obama: Let’s see. Should I plunk my butt in the Presidential Emergency Operations Center where it belongs and pay attention to what’s going on, or practice the speech I’ll make tonight to the recipients the Presidential Medal of Freedom. What to do? What to do?
