  1. Schedule for the Week of November 2, 2015

On Monday, as part of his commitment to criminal justice reform, the President will travel to the Newark, New Jersey area to highlight the re-entry process of formerly-incarcerated individuals who are working to put their lives back on track and earn their second chance. He will be joined by Senator Booker and Mayor Baraka. While in Newark, the President will visit a residential facility, Integrity House, and later convene a roundtable discussion at Rutgers University – Newark, Center for Law & Justice, where he will also deliver a statement. Afterward, the President will travel to New York, New York for a DNC event and a DCCC event.

On Tuesday, the President will attend meetings at the White House.

On Wednesday, the President will deliver remarks and take questions at a DNC event in Washington, DC.

On Thursday, the President will deliver remarks to tribal leaders and take part in a conversation with Native youth at the 2015 White House Tribal Nations Conference in Washington, DC. The conference will provide leaders from the 567 federally recognized tribes the opportunity to interact directly with high-level federal government officials and members of the White House Council on Native American Affairs. This will be the seventh White House Tribal Nations Conference for the Obama Administration and continues to build upon the President’s commitment to strengthen the government-to-government relationship with Indian Country and improve the lives of American Indians and Alaska Natives, with an emphasis on increasing opportunity for Native youth.

On Friday, the President will attend meetings at the White House.

    • More DNC fundraisers! The first priority of the DNC should be to reimburse taxpayers for all of Obama’s extravagant, non-stop fundraiging and vacationing that he passes off as ‘official business’. A five minute stop at a military base for both of the Obama’s is worth millions in personal expenses for the WH grifters.
      Shame, shame!

    • Let’s hope those former prisoners have some integrity or get some at Integrity House. I believe people can change–but I don’t believe in throwing open prison doors.

    • He found time to sign (with his lefty hand) the Budget Bill that gives him Carte Blanche spending for the next two years. We will end up 25T in the hole.

    • Felons cannot vote, so one bho mission is to restore their voting privileges with hope that they will vote with the dems. Along with CA allowing illegals voting rights and HRC saying she will protect ‘illegals following American laws'(oxymoron~illegal lawbreakers following the laws?)the years of ‘pow wows’ with Native American Tribal leaders about ‘reparations'(his divisive tactics) and the little known Mid-East outreach to Native Americans, the legal American citizens are becoming endangered! For years, Turkey has been providing scholarships for Native American Youth to study in Turkey ~ soon to be completely under Shariah Law. A Turkish islamic economics adviser was a guest speaker at the Native American Expo in Las Vegas two years ago.

BHO just signed a two year budget that practically makes our elected leaders in Congress obsolete! Yes, I know they have completely dampened any spark of hope and optimism of the citizens!

Make no mistake ~ the bho WH Adm/Dep’t Chairs/Czars have been planning and moving even more quickly to ‘change’ America! jb

  2. Obama in an “Integrity” House?
On the same day that he uses said “official” event to put upon the backs of the taxpayers the cost of the real reason for his trip: Democrat party fundraisers.
I don’t care what party the POTUS is, if there is a political event scheduled w/in 48 hours of an “official” event, than the political party picks up the ENTIRE tab for the travel.

  3. The main theme of MrObama’s new quest of prison reform seems only to include Black men incarcerated for drug dealing offenses.
He calls them “non-violent” offenses, but that’s not the whole story.
Anything and anyone associated with illegal drugs is involved in a violent conflict to entrap users and to secure territory – for instance, the constant gunfire and deaths in Chicago.
If he truly was concerned about Americans being incarcerated for non-violent crimes, then he should be advocating for people found guilty of tax-evasion, insider stock trading, drunk driving, computer crimes, shoplifting, etc etc, to be set free, too.

This new crusade of MrObama points to what he wants to do when no longer the POTUS, just as MrsO’s crusade for girl’s education seems to be pointed to an international problem than a American one.
They are not just going to retire from public life, IMO.

  4. How ironic that we are talking ‘budgets’ and ‘debt’ while Mooch is spending the week at taxpayer’s expense in the most luxurious, expensive island in the world – Qatar! Forced slave labor is also rampant as Qatar prepares for World Cup 2022. It’s expected that up to 4000 foreign migrants will die by the time it is finished.

Enjoy the shopping trip, Moochie. Your best bet would be a full burqa!

    • Shrillary is in Chicago for three fundraisers today. Plus, she’s trying to court the black vote, and HUD Secretary Castro is there also pushing this “criminal justice reform” agenda:

The Chicago Sun-Times has learned that in addition to the fundraisers, Clinton also might hold a small, private meeting with African-Americans on Monday, following up on Friday’s kickoff in Atlanta of “African-Americans for Hillary” and the unveiling of her criminal justice reform proposals.

The Chicago native will need a giant outpouring of black voters to maintain her lead in the Democratic primary and win the general election. In Atlanta, Clinton spoke at a Rainbow/PUSH luncheon joined by the founder of the Chicago-based group, the Rev. Jesse Jackson Sr.

This comes as President Barack Obama has increasingly focused on criminal justice reform as a centerpiece of his remaining 14 months in office. On Monday, Obama will meet with former inmates in Newark, New Jersey, and announce more help to lift obstacles that former prisoners face in gaining jobs and re-entering life.

And as it happens, HUD Secretary Julian Castro, who endorsed Clinton last month — and who has been mentioned as her possible running mate if she is indeed the Democratic nominee — also will be in Chicago on Monday. He’ll discuss the Obama administration’s efforts to help ex-cons, including making it easier to find housing and clear criminal records so they can find jobs.

Joining Castro at Northwestern University’s Bluhm Legal Clinic are Sen. Dick Durbin, D-Ill., an architect of the criminal justice reform bill that just passed the Senate Judiciary Committee; Rep. Danny Davis, D-Ill., who has made a crusade of helping ex-prisoners; and Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle.

    • I think it has to be approved by Congress. If so, The WH, every Department, and every Senator and Congressman who approves this should be required by law (ha –law — as if we still we a country ruled by law) — anyway they should all be required to hire one of these people. Remember they are not supposed to be dangerous and if they are good enough to roam through your business they ought to be good enough through the government halls which are already filled with criminals.

  5. Okay, for all you legal beagles out there…

So, I was watching some late night programming, and saw one more of those “Been injured by this drug? Call our lawyers” commercials.

Now, normally, I just ignore those, but I’d just gotten done reading some really dopey comments somewhere else about the mass drug commutations. (I’m going to spare you guys the link this time–some of the commenters there had IQ’s to match their inseams, if not their ring sizes.)

So, mass clemency for drug offenders…class action lawyer commercial…hey! Here’s an idea…

Let’s assume that once Obama is out of office, some of these “non-violent” drug offenders turn out to be about as non-violent as the stimulus bill’s “shovel-ready” jobs were shovel-ready.

Could Obama be held responsible for the misdeeds of repeat offenders that he’s letting out?

And before you say “No, pardons can’t be reviewed,” remember that THESE ARE NOT PARDONS we’re talking about here. This is an agency decision by presidential directive, so I’m thinking it could be reviewed for civil sanctions.

So, could families of the victims of this clemency go class-action against Obama? If so, could they then go class-action against the DNC, on the grounds that the Democrats were trying to stuff the ballot box with the votes of former drug convicts?

See, if the DNC has to mount an expensive legal defense, it might not have as much cash on hand to spend on actual races. And if it loses, to the tune of a multi-million dollar verdict…hmmmmmmm….

Any legal minds want to take a crack at this?

  6. what is the frantic rush to release prisoners, let anyone vote and let anybody that wants to move here just come on over and get your free stuff paid for by us working stiffs??
I am just sick sick sick, shame on you barry and the rest of the fools letting this happen!
