I am Jewish American and a very strong supporter of Israel. But I am not an Israeli.  And I have no sympathy for Jonathan Pollard nor any wish that he be set free. Jonathan Pollard is a spy. Espionage is a capital offense. He is lucky to be serving a life sentence. Why his sentence allows him mandatory parole after 30 years is unclear to me.
