In the history of mankind, many republics have risen, have flourished for a less or greater time, and then have fallen because their citizens lost the power of governing themselves and thereby of governing their state. TR

Obama Planning Weekend Golf Extravaganza

Man, the fun never stops.

President Obama continues to cast a pall of unseriousness over his presidency, which was already of questionable seriousness, planning a weekend of golf out in California following two days of fundraising on the Left Coast.

This just a week after throwing a White House bash for 500 of his closest friends. Meanwhile, his wife is on a taxpayer-funded excursion to Europe where she is promoting health and education overseas while taking in some sights with her daughters and her mother.

According to the Washington Examiner, Obama will golf in Palm Springs even amidst drought, a prospect that should deeply annoy enviros and Californians forced to restrict their water use. Golf courses are notorious guzzlers of water.

The Examiner reports:

Amid California’s epic drought, Palm Springs residents and the area’s vast expanse of golf resorts are among the state’s heaviest water users, sucking up more than 200 gallons per person each day. That number doubles during the summer months, according to the California Water Resources Control Board.

Teeing off environmentalists even more, golf resorts and their surrounding retail shops are the prime water-consuming culprits, draining a huge percent of the area’s total water usage but providing 40 percent of the jobs in the valley, according to a report last December in the Los Angeles Times.

And the annual Martha’s Vineyard sojourn is just around the corner.

    1. We’re getting 114 here…

Some people are all over him for going after Charleston. On MoJoe, the expected–part of long war against blacks in this country, he needs to make a healing speech, we need to do “something” about guns — something is so nice and vague, isn’t it? Oh–and last nite they had a distraught friend of the reverend say this is all Fox’s fault. Everyone is flailing about.

      1. Today Hillary blamed Donald Trump for the Charleston shootings. I kid you not. She didn’t say Donald, but she said this”
Public discourse is sometimes hotter and more negative than it should be, which can, in my opinion, trigger someone who is less than stable.” She continued, “I think we have to speak out against it. Like, for example, a recent entry into the Republican presidential campaign said some very inflammatory things…

  1. Think about your blood pressure and say calmly to yourself “This is the Obamas – this is what they have always done, are doing and will continue to do until out of office. No reason to go all Pavlov – take your own pulse first.”

    1. My blood pressure doesn’t get elevated- but their behavior has risen to the point beyond parody. And it’s important to keep note. Next time he lectures us about Global warming and changing our lifestyle … or goes on about the “you didn’t build that” socialist bs. It’s important that people completely know who this man is.

  4. Only a fool would travel 3000 miles to play golf in the 115 degree heat of the gay community’s winter playground. He doesn’t have to worry about crowds gathering in the streets but he does have to worry about his fancy motorcade overheating.
Hope the desert gets one of its famous sand storms and pits the windshield of the Beast!

  5. Look, I’m a conservative Independent voter and to be honest, while his golfing does seem to follow a crisis in the US, however in all fairness, this is father’s day weekend, he is doing business in Ca. and the better question is why is his family leaving him for father’s day weekend???? Not that is more curious to me.

  6. Obama made his usual anti gun statements, hinted that Fox and other rightists, Talk Radio et al in his confederate memos were to blame for Dylan going terrorist, and then…went golfing and FUNDRAISING. What a guy! As serious as sin and cancer. That is in his misunderstanding of our culture, heritage, history and VALUES.

  7. The less time he spends in the White House writing the executive orders which are dismantling our country and fomenting racial agitation, the better. I will happily pay his green fees to any golf course in the world.

    1. Yes, but Dantes, this trip will cost taxpayers millions. If he were paying the whole bill out of his own pocket I wouldn’t be as upset.

  8. This comes as no surprise. Obama has money, most of his friends and acquaintance have money or they are not is friends or acquaintance. He care little for anyone but himself and only makes speeches about climiate change and peace and race relations to keep the his donors happy. He is truely a NARCISSIST, like so many politicians.

  9. Trust me…I’m the last person who would OK
anything this pres does or wants. I am a
Californian…and have lived here 30yrs. I found out only in the past few years that Palm Springs, Palm Desert, etc. have actual lakes underneath..that are very deep, however for all kinds of reasons can’t be piped through to other areas of California….that is why the golf courses are so lush…which has nothing to do with Benedict Arnold’s continual party- presidency…I resent every golf game he has and very outlandish, in your face, trip Moochelle takes with her kids and their cousins, etc… and flying to the hinterlands to fundraise is all we will see from this mooch and his wife until January 2017..good riddence….

  11. Turning into his typical ‘father’s day’. He’s one place, playing golf, not paying attention to anything (which has become the norm 24/7/365), while his kids are 7000 miles away.
