In the history of mankind, many republics have risen, have flourished for a less or greater time, and then have fallen because their citizens lost the power of governing themselves and thereby of governing their state. TR

U.S. economy stalls . . . If anyone has any questions about the decrepitude of the Obama economy and the “recovery” that never seems to get to “fully recovered,” it was answered today as the Commerce Department announced that GDP had expanded by 0.2 percent during the first three months of the year – that is, growth basically stopped. This comes off a lousy 2.2 percent increase in the fourth quarter of last year, suggesting the slowdown is endemic and not due to the bad winter – i.e. increased cooling due to global warming – or the alignment of the planets, George W. 1. Right to left, Lib to Conservative, Black to White, the same question ; who’s to blame?
Who is responsible for Baltimore’s Blacks, who isn’t doing something, anything to help them?

The President thinks the government should do more to help Blacks, the Others blame the Government for upending Black families and their futures.
No one is saying they are responsible for their own futures, their own lives.
The underlying message is that Blacks are too childish, too stupid, or just too lazy to take care of themselves.
The President blames the Repubs(Whites) for not spending more money in the inner cities and so dooming the helpless Black to a life of uneducated, jobless poverty.

How is this not Racism in it’s purest form; Whites must be blamed for poor Black families, Whites must be held responsible to take care of them.

  2. O’Reilly did a fairly interesting seg the other nite on Chicago–black leaders seem to be grabbing hold better there…They seemed more hopeful, even though it’s a mess and killing field now… The residents had no use for the Rahm-ster. Also the MoJoe seg I talked about yesterday–tear down the vacant bldgs, gentrify (without making long-time residents move), give tax credits for those locating businesses in rougher areas…etc. More concrete ideas…rather than this “do something, eek” stuff.
