Everywhere he goes he has to have a “town hall” with college kids, or in this case “young leaders”, whoever they are.
And “community” leaders? Why does Obama need to concern himself with local issues of another country?
Of course, CARICOM probably has nothing to do with “community”.
…oh, I see you already found out below SnarkEsq! I’m not surprised.
OT – Jennifer Rubin’s WaPo article about Carly Fiorina, with some excellent recent quotes of Carly’s regarding Obummer, the Iran deal, and Shrillary’s emails:
http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/right-turn/wp/2015/04/08/carly-fiorina-deserves-to-be-taken-seriously/
Great article….Carly lacks the Beltway acumen that most politicos bring to the table, but that could be one of her most admirable attributes.
Listen to her speak off the cuff, then listen to the halting talk from our President or the babbling blather from our VP, and you know she is a competent professional that would hold up well in any negotiation.
We sorely need leadership, perhaps she is the one?

Great read, thanks.
CF also runs an international micro finance organization — has great international exposure and is familiar with WDC from her days in corporate world and with this mf org. She’s showing nicely now.
Vetting could be a little tough on her–I think she had biz issues.
His travel plans are going in the same direction as his foreign policy – SOUTH!
Wow, I was looking for info on Obummer’s meetings in Jamaica and I stumbled across this little tidbit I haven’t seen mentioned anywhere yet. Note the people involved in this summit, which begins tomorrow:

Major US Black group to host reparations summit
NEW YORK, United States, Monday April 6, 2015, (CMC) – The Institute of the Black World 21st Century (IBW), a leading research, policy and advocacy group with offices in New York and Baltimore, says it is holding an International Reparations Summit at various sites across New York City from April 9-12.
On Friday, IBW announced that speakers will include Professor Sir Hilary Beckles, Vice-Chancellor of the University of the West Indies and chair of the Caribbean Community’s (CARICOM) Reparations Commission; US civil rights leader the Rev. Jesse Jackson; Professor Charles Ogeltree of Harvard University; and Mireille Fanon Mendes France, President of the Frantz Fanon Foundation and Chair of the UN Working Group of Experts on People of African descent and daughter of Frantz Fanon, the Black liberation theoretician and psychiatrist from Martinique.
During the summit, US congressman John Conyers Jr., Democrat of Michigan, the most senior member of the US Congress and the dean of the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC), will be honored for authoring a bill, HR 40, the “Commission to Study Reparation Proposals for African Americans Act” and for his 50 years of service in the US House of Representatives.
“We are delighted that the Institute of the Black World can be a clearinghouse for ideas and strategies on how to pursue reparations for historical crimes and injustices against people of African descent in the US and across the Americas,” said Dr. Ron Daniels, the Institute’s president. “The courageous decision by nations in the Caribbean to demand reparations from the former European colonialists for Native Genocide and African enslavement and the formation of a CARICOM Reparations Commission is re-energizing the Reparations Movement in the US and throughout the Pan African world.”
IBW said scores of reparations advocates, pan-Africanists and social justice activists from across the US, Canada, Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean will take part in the New York summit.
SnarkEsq thanks for this information. I cannot think of a response at this time. I agree with Sadie.
No problem, Lee. did you see that along with Jesse Jackson, Obummer’s pal Professor Charles Ogeltree of Harvard University will be there? Remember him?
So, Conyers has a reparations bill? Good luck with that.
Maybe they will all have a beer after the summit.
The list as a whole spoke for itself. I cannnot recall him.
Reparations? Are they f***ing kidding?
It’s funny when you are a logical thinking person!
Weren’t they slaves in Africa before they were sold to the US etc?
Historically, there were always slaves even in the bible..
Christianity originated in Africa idiot! That just shows how dumb and racist you are.
No, no one is kidding. The U.S. owes the descendants of African slaves trillions of dollars for its egregious and continuing crimes against humanity. Since this country is in trillions of dollars in debt, this entire country actually belongs to us!
All of Obama’s AF/AM parasite cronies are coming out of the woodwork now that he is free to be himself – an affirmative action grifter on steroids.
Very, very interesting. Thanks for bringing this out in the light of day.
All this travel, all these stops with all different people, and he was a NO SHOW in Paris. His side kick as well.
Lots of info in this Miami Herald article about Obummer’s visit to Jamaica:
Jamaica prepares for historic Obama visit
Streets have received a new coat of black top and sidewalk vendors were forced to relocate in a major makeover to welcome President Barack Obama, who flew into Jamaica late Wednesday for a historic visit.
Air Force One touched down at 7:30 local time (8:30 p.m. EST) and Obama took off 14 minutes later in a helicopter for a Kingston hotel to meet with U.S. Embassy employees.
“I am overjoyed,” said Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller, who gave Obama a brief hug.
What Jamaicans and Caribbean leaders can expect from Obama, the first sitting U.S. president to visit Jamaica in three decades, during his overnight visit before heading to the weekend Summit of the Americas in Panama is a matter of considerable debate.

snark: great links/info. As if I needed an excuse to stay out of NYC. Global activists – makes me wanna puke and punch.
Aw, Sadie, don’t you want to meet Obama’s buddy Ogeltree, the Harvard professor?
Is this the same fakey lashup thing as the one called WE HAVE VALUE or something like that? I can’t keep up.
Maybe WE HAVE MONETARY VALUE?

State Department wants Cuba removed from terrorism list
The State Department has formally recommended Cuba’s removal from the State Sponsors of Terrorism List, CNN reported Wednesday night.
The move clears the way for the White House to remove the nation from the list in the coming days.
After a historic thaw in U.S.-Cuba relations, President Obama had asked State in December to review Cuba’s worthiness of remaining on the list.
The move means State believes Cuba has not provided support to terror organizations in the preceding six months.
CNN reported Obama arrived in Jamaica on Wednesday, on a trip that will lead him to the Summit of the Americas in Panama later this week.
Obama will be encountering Cuban leader Raul Castro at the Summit.
Remove Cuba – Insert Obama.
Works for me.
Perfect! He is the biggest enemy of this country.
x2
Thanks for mentioning the info on Cuba. This was brought up at a Press Conf. days ago. Joshi did not have a reply/ info / details at the time.
So now we will have Iran and Cuba removed from the list.
Isn’t part of his job to protect us? sarc.
Rather than protecting this country, I truly believe that his sole mission from day one has been to destroy America. He doesn’t identify as an American. He has an outsider’s view of the U.S. and he despises this country. He really is the enemy within.
Like Cheney told Hugh Hewitt, Obummer wants to bring America down:
http://dailycaller.com/2015/04/07/cheney-president-obama-wants-to-take-america-down-video/
I have had the news on for about a 1/2 hr. I have not seen a word yet of this crew of people he is meeting with.
I would not be surprised if Cuba and Iran are removed and Israel is inserted. Also would not be surprised if Castro returns from conference meet with Obama with a “framework” for some special deal with the port of Miami, the Florida coastline or some such nonsense.
Busiest day he’s had in a while…This calls for a tax-payer funded vacation next week.
Heck yes–a week on, a week off.
Did he eat any jerk chicken while in Jamaica, oh wait, that’s his daily meal…

“No guarantee” of a n. deal. That is what the Iranain leader said.
Mr. Rouhani said: “We will sign no agreement but the one that immediately abolishes all the economic sanction relief on the first day of the immplemantation of the agreement.”
On Monday: American officials made clear, Sanctions would have to be lifted in phases.
I do not know what line we are in front of, or behind at this time.
This article from http://www.weaselzippers.us
Statae department has sent a recommendation to the WH that Cuba be removed from the T list paving for the WH to announce its intent to de-list Cuba as of Thursday.
List, Lines: Who knows where we stand?
About the “line”: it seems to be similar to the Western line-dancing- two steps to the left, one to the right, back two, forward one, turn around -repeat.
:) Thanks for the smile, and giggle. Have to giggle sometimes, to take a break from the constant worry.
As you note, Iran has absolutely no intention of making a “deal” with the US. They’ve broken every “agreement” they’ve ever made with any country, and they aren’t about to break that record. Unless Obama is the stupidest person who ever lived, he knows that very well. That’s part of the sick wink-wink aspect of this disastrous affair The Iranians are just buying time so they can complete the final stages of building their first nuclear bomb(s), and getting the bugs worked out of their long range missile program. And the Obama administration is completely aware of that.
!
Still can’t figure out why this trip to Jamaica was so important that Obama felt it was OK to spend millions of bucks to get there to do what? Lay a wreath? Talk to school children? Conduct a fake meeting with Embassy people? Chat with the Prime Minister of Jamaica?
Here’s the reason Marcus

LOL… the mystery is now solved.
I knew our preteen prez would go there!
This is really quite shameful and beneath the office. You know a visit to the Che Guevara Mausoleum is just around the corner.
I’m sure he’s giving lots of money away too. He does that on every trip. That Miami Herald article that I linked to above has some quotes from Caribbean leaders complaining that the US hasn’t been giving them enough “attention” – a/k/a MONEY.
