In the history of mankind, many republics have risen, have flourished for a less or greater time, and then have fallen because their citizens lost the power of governing themselves and thereby of governing their state. TR

The Obama Morning News || March 17, 2015

Obama moving to protect Hillary? . . . The administration today will issue new rules exempting a key administrative office that handles issues such as request for access to government email records from the Freedom of Information Act. That law is specifically designed to allow private parties to look at government documents that aren’t privileged or involve national security. And during “Sunshine Week,” no less. John Fund

Obama blames Bush for ISIS . . . President Obama pinned the rise of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) on former President George W. Bush’s invasion of Iraq while calling for more investment in diplomacy and education to stop terrorism. Daily Caller

Amnesty: Thousands of bureaucrats, billions of dollars . . . If President Barack Obama’s immigration plan gets past a federal court injunction, and if 60 percent of illegals apply for deferred action protection under the plan, the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services agency projects that it may have to hire an additional 3,100 employees, with a total program cost of up to $484 million a year. CNS News

Treasury ready to hand over Lerner emails . . . The department’s deputy inspector general, Timothy Camus, on Feb. 26 testified that his office had found more than 30,000 of Lerner’s emails, including emails from 2011 on a backup tape at a storage facility in West Virginia that the IRS had never searched. Newsmax

Missouri Lt. Gov: More racism in DOJ than Ferguson . . . “There is more racism in the Justice Department than there is in anywhere I see in the St. Louis area,” Missouri Lieutenant Governor of Peter Kinder said Monday. “We’ve come an enormous way in 50 years. That’s not to say we don’t have still more to do. But it is the left — the [Attorney General] Eric Holder and [President Barack] Obama left — and their minions who are obsessed with race while the rest of us are moving on beyond it.” Newsmax

The EPA wants to get into the shower with you . . . The Environmental Protection Agency wants hotels to monitor how much time its guests spend in the shower. The agency is spending $15,000 to create a wireless system that will track how much water a hotel guest uses to get them to “modify their behavior.” Washington Free Beacon

“Utter baloney” . . . The White House has a rather unfavorable view of a report suggesting that Valerie Jarrett, President Obama’s senior adviser, leaked news of Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server. Washington Examiner

  1. EPA wants to get in the shower with you!

Okay, this is WAR! The Communist enviros at the WH are planning to install a $15K device to measure and control water usage on all hotel room shower heads.

The average shower is 8.2 minutes. The goal is to reduce that time to 5 minutes. One step is hair washing: Use water to lather; turn off water while washing hair; turn water back on to rinse hair.

What’s next? Hair-washing days reduced to twice a month? Jail time for offenders? Installation of outhouses to replace bathrooms? TP rationing?

The Castro brothers must be smiling!

    1. And in the real world, the IRS paid out $132 billion in improper payments over the last ten years.
I really need a bigger roll of duck tape to keep my head from exploding.

    2. Why are none of these water conservation people smart enough to understand how a city sewer system works? They all decry to loss of potable water but most of it gets cleaned and reused. The average sewer system only loses about 1% of its water after washing. This is all a bunch of feel-good hogwash to make us comply. And how about all the wasted water turning it on, waiting for it to warm up again. What stupid idiots they are and shame on any hotel that goes along with this. Oh, and in my house we took the water-saver out of the shower head. We actually have a shower that feels good!

  2. Lois Lerner’s butt needs to be in jail.
And, her retirement payments should be terminated.

OT, this site is again in slow motion as per comment additions and streams.
    Patience grasshoppers.

      1. You’re right, unfortunately. Self-awareness and honesty are not Obama’s long suit. Plus, a good Muslim like him would be offended by the word “baloney”, since it may have pork in it…

        1. His long suit is to keep this Country in the doldrums while reserving his image on the media to denigrate anyone that would dare to oppose his policies.

  3. Reading down through the Obama Morning News, it is obvious that this administration has succeeded in their efforts to overwhelm the congress on the number of scandals that they can impose on a sitting legislative organization.
Couple that with the continued stonewalling of requested records from various agencies, either by the agency itself, or the White House.

This is Cloward and Piven at it’s finest.
Overwhelm the system while using bureaucratic mandates to force the people into submission.

Congress be damned, executive orders are the answer.

Obama has stated in the past that he will not wait on congress because he is running out of time to accomplish his agenda.

He will not stop until the congress or the Supreme Court stops him.

We will also never be rid of him.

Carter never really went away, neither did Clinton.

The libs insist on pushing their policies even when they are out of office.

Get ready for many years of Obama in the media.

    1. Right again, AFV. This facination with such prominent liberals will probably outlive this Country at this point. And I wouldn’t count on the Supremes to stop him. I can tell you on any given issue how 4 of them will vote with no more information than whether or not it’s something Obama wants. They are simply his yeggs, nothing more. Add to that the nameless fear that drove Roberts into the Obama camp, and it doesn’t look good for the judicial branch to hose this Hydra.

Even if they did, what of it? Suppose the Supremes DID suddenly remember they are supposed to interpret, you know, laws and stuff, and ruled against most or all of his anti-Constitutional agenda. What then?

Well, lets look at a little Democrat history; in this case, how about a paraphrase of Andrew Jackson after the Supremes ruled against him in “Worcester v. Georgia”?

“Mr. Roberts has made his decision; now let him enforce it.” _B. Obama, the future.

Mr. Jackson chose to ignore the Supreme Court, basically brushing it aside because it had no enforcement power, and proceeding with the Indian Removal Act. How’d this end for him? Well, we have The Trail of Tears to suggest that he got his way…

Right now, I don’t see it ending any better for us. The only cold comfort we have is that revolutions eat their own children. The liberal coaltion is far to fragmented and opposed to each other at too fundamental a level to survive (viz. homosexual marrage vs. Muslims executing same). Unfortunately, the beast will kill a lot of innocent bystanders as it dies…

      1. Andy Jackson did remove the Indians to reservations.
The Supremes rule on the laws passed by congress.
The president cannot make a law, nor than can the Supreme Court make a law.

Changing the verbiage of a law is not the mission of the Supreme Court.
A penalty is not a tax unless I guess the Supreme Court deems it so.

Wait a minute,….how did they get away with this ?
