As of now, I am in control here, in the White House

The Obama Morning News || February 12, 2015

Obama finally unites Republicans, Democrats . . . Obama’s request for authorization to use military force against the Islamic State is a tough sell on Capitol Hill in its current form, with Republicans calling it too soft and Democrats questioning its scope and size. Washington Examiner

IRS to pay back-refunds to illegals . . . IRS Commissioner Koskinen said even illegal immigrants who didn’t pay taxes will be able to apply for back-credits once they get Social Security numbers. The EITC is a refundable tax credit, which means those who don’t have any tax liability can still get money back from the government. He said that would apply even “if you did not file” taxes, as long as the illegal immigrant could demonstrate having worked off-the-books during those years. Washington Times

Okay, this makes sense. So now you get credit for prior illegal activity! Orwellian!!

Obama AWOL on Boko . . . It started with a groundswell of support and an appeal to “Bring Back Our Girls.” Ten months later, with most of those Nigerian schoolgirls no closer to being home, the White House rarely invokes the mounting atrocities committed by Boko Haram. Washington Examiner

VA Secretary to Iraq war veteran: “What have you done?” . . . Veterans Affairs Secretary Robert McDonald on Wednesday asked a Republican lawmaker who served in both Iraq wars, “What have you done?” as the two men sparred over huge cost overruns at a troubled Denver VA hospital. Fox News

WH seeks to raid one Social Security account to fix another . . .  Senate Republicans gave a chilly reception Wednesday to a White House plan to shift money from Social Security’s retirement funds to cover a looming shortfall in its disability account. Associated Press

Why did Scott Walker drop out of college? . . . In 1990, that news stunned his friends at Marquette University. Walker, the campus’s suit-wearing, Reagan-loving politico — who enjoyed the place so much that he had run for student body president — had left without graduating. Washington Post

Walker “punts” on evolution . . . The Republican governor, during a question-and-answer session after a speech in London, was asked whether he believes in or accepts evolution. “For me, I’m going to punt on that one as well,” Walker said, prompting some murmurs in the crowd at Chatham House, a major London think tank. “That’s a question a politician shouldn’t be involved in one way or another. So, I’m going to leave that up to you.” Politico

      • My first job as an entry level GS-2, which required a top secret clearance …. required my school records back to elementary school and every address I lived at in my life. So weird we don’t require that of a President !

        • My job in the Air Force required a Top Secret clearance.
My mom and dad told me that government officials questioned them and the neighbors and requested my school records.

          • Same here, AFVet. When I got out of tech training, and went home on leave to visit family and friends, everyone was asking me why the FBI was all over town asking about me! They talked to school officials, friends, store clerks, people at my church, everybody in sight. They told me they thought I was in some kind of trouble! It took almost a year to finally get the clearance.

          • Same here. There ought to be a Constitutional Amendment that any person who wants to run for office should pass a thorough background security check. There’s no question that Obama could not pass a background check given his pass affiliations and activities. But here we are.

      • Speaking of college…

1979 Newspaper Article By Valerie Jarrett’s Father-In-Law Reveals Start Of Muslim Purchase Of U.S. Presidency…

As Jarrett suggests, any black institutions and presumably individuals who became beholden to Arab money might be expected to continue the trend of American “new black advocacy for a homeland for the Palestinians” and presumably for other Islamic and Arabic interests in the Middle East. For that reason, if for no other, the question of how President Obama’s college education was funded is of considerably more than academic interest.”

    • The Washington Post article on Walker is the signal that they are now out to destroy him (again) ion a nation al scale. It’s an idiotic article, much like the media efforts to destroy anyone they fear. As his popularity increases (and it will), the MSM will go after Walker’s wife, kids, early childhood experiences, friends, relatives, etc. What the MSM won’t do is discuss the political issues in play. Walker took on the Unions and they lost. The Newspaper Guild (union) members at the Washington Post won’t forget that.

  1. They must really be worried about Walker if they are making such a big deal out of his dropping out of college. Oh my! Also making a big deal out of the fact that he lost early races. I wonder what that says about Einstein or Edison, or anybody else for that matter. Geez…..slow story day for the Post.

–Excerpt from The Washington Free Beacon
David Axelrod’s Political Consulting Firm Far More Involved in Nigeria Election than Previously Disclosed

Axelrod’s firm, the Chicago-based AKPD, has admitted to doing work on behalf of Buhari’s All Progressives Congress (APC) party in the past, but claimed to have ceased its ties in March 2014 after the Islamist terror group Boko Haram kidnapped hundreds of Nigerian schoolgirls.

However, emails sent between senior APC party members and advisers show that contrary to the firm’s claims, AKPD has quietly continued to perform political work on Buhari’s behalf as he fights to unseat current President Goodluck Jonathan.

    • Very interesting. Rounds out the picture of what this Axelrod character is up to. He’s got the background for his antics–his mother was a columnist for the New York City publication PM, which was a Communist publication. His father probably did not have much influence on his later development–he was a psychiatrist who committed suicide when Axelrod was about 9. So that was a big hole in his life, obviously.
