As of now, I am in control here, in the White House

The Obama Morning News || January 29, 2015

Obama wants to bust the caps . . . President Barack Obama’s budget will call for an increase in domestic and military spending that would end spending caps known as “sequestration,” a White House official said, setting up a new source of conflict with Republicans in Congress. Obama intends to announce his plans during a meeting with congressional Democrats in Philadelphia on Thursday. The fiscal 2016 budget, which the White House intends to unveil on Monday, would fund a host of programs that Republicans are unlikely to support. Reuters

White House: Taliban not a terrorist group . . . White House deputy press secretary Eric Schultz argued during Wednesday’s briefing that the United States can negotiate prisoner swaps with Taliban members, because the Taliban is not considered a terrorist group. Washington Times

Officials sought to bypass Hillary on Libya . . . Top Pentagon officials and a senior Democrat in Congress so distrusted Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton’s 2011 march to war in Libya that they opened their own diplomatic channels with the Gadhafi regime in an effort to halt the escalating crisis, according to secret audio recordings recovered from Tripoli. Washington Times

AG nominee Lynch backs Obama’s amnesty . . . “My concerns are furthered by Ms. Lynch’s unambiguous declaration that ‘the right and the obligation to work is one that’s shared by everyone in this country regardless of how they came here,” said Sen. Jeff Sessions, R-Ala. But other Republicans seemed less concerned. Breitbart

Defense nominee: We can’t close Gitmo . . . Ash Carter, President Obama’s pick to be the new defense secretary, has told senators he doesn’t see any way to close down the prison at Guantanamo Bay over the next two years, putting a major dent in Mr. Obama’s hopes to shut it down before he leaves office. Washington Times

  1. The Taliban are not terrorists, illegals have as much right to an American job as anyone else, and Cuba demanding Gitmo back? Today’s “news” makes it perfectly clear:
The truth truly is stranger than fiction.
If Jon Stewart and the night time comedians weren’t all so liberal the public would be shown what a clown Obama really is.

    • Loretta Lynch is on the record as opposing State Voter ID Laws! Call your Senators and tell them to oppose her confirmation as DOJ AG! If she is becomes AG, the President can use an Exec. Order to NOT enforce State Voter ID Laws for Local, State, and Fed Elections ~ even the Presidential Election in Nov 2016!

That will allow illegals to illegally vote which will cause ‘voter fraud’ lawsuits that, in turn, will lead to more chaos across America! Please call your Senators’ DC Offices and leave messages with their aides, and ask that they make sure your comments are read immediately!

Loretta Lynch must be defeated, and our Senators must NOT be allowed to make ‘uninformed’ decisions that will continue the un-Constitutional edicts of the White House Adm! jk

    • I think you’re right.
I watched it on c-span and there are too many squishes on the rep side.
The dems are falling allover themselves trying to justify her.

    • No question she’ll be confirmed. She’s cut from the same political mold as the rest of the Obama team, and will fit in very nicely. Obama will never select an Attorney General who will challenge him, remind him of his Constitutional obligations, or argue with him for not following the letter of the law. She’ll be part of the problem as soon as she’s sworn in. This will be Holder redux with a skirt.

  2. Obama to fight obesity in hungry India . . . Obama said there is a “worldwide epidemic of obesity” Good grief.
Did MrK sneak some satire into his morning news?

If not, then the only answer is to restrict our generosity to the faux starving children in Africa, SouthAmerica and beyond. Greedy little devils, getting fat and sassy on our donated food stuffs while pretending to be hungry.
MrsO will use her nutritional and physical health expertise to get those chubby slum dwellers fit and trim, and ready to strut that stuff with the likes of Beyonce and the Beiber.
Lest we forget – there are 30 million American children gorging themselves on cheesecake, pizza, and t-bone steaks bought with food stamps. Fatties, all.
MrsO will fix that, too – cut the foodstamp allotment in half!

  3. “…the Taliban is not considered a terrorist group. ”

    “Press Statement
    Philip J. Crowley
Assistant Secretary, Bureau of Public Affairs
    Washington, DC

    September 1, 2010

The Secretary of State has designated Tehrik-e Taliban Pakistan (TTP) as a Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO) under Section 219 of the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA). The Secretary also designated TTP as a Specially Designated Global Terrorist under E.O. 13224. Furthermore, the Secretary designated two senior TTP leaders, Hakimullah Mehsud and Wali Ur Rehman, as Specially Designated Global Terrorists under E.O. 13224. Secretary Clinton took these actions in consultation with the Attorney General and the Secretary of the Treasury. These actions will help stem the flow of finances to TTP and provide the Department of Justice with a critical tool to prosecute those who knowingly provide material support to TTP and its senior leaders. ”

      • “If”? I don’t think there’s an “if” with this guy, it’s more like “how” and “when”. I wouldn’t call it “caving” though. Caving is typically when you give up something you want to someone else. Obama doesn’t WANT Gitmo, but he DOES want to reward his brother dictators that he’s admired since his first blush with politics… and if America gets weakened and his comrades in the prison camps get released to war on us again, so much the better from his point of view.

As for the Russians, he probably hasn’t thought that far ahead. Our spindly sheik is more than a little intimidated by the Übermensch Putin, and tends to avoid thinking about the spanking he gets whenever he comes up against THAT guy…

  4. “Obama to fight obesity in hungry India”

Well, he fights non-existant global warming worldwide and non-existant police racism in Ferguson, so why not?

Of course, the fight he’d REALLY like to win is the one against Prime Minister Netanyahu…

“Just days after the Obama White House accused House Speaker John Boehner of “breaking protocol” by inviting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to address a joint session of Congress, a team of up to five Obama campaign operatives has reportedly arrived in Israel to lead a campaign to defeat the Israeli Prime Minister in upcoming national elections scheduled for March 17.”

Of course our Caliph doesn’t like to be slighted, especially by the sons of Israel…

An unnamed senior White House official complained to the Times of Israel:

“We thought we’ve seen everything. But Bibi managed to surprise even us. There are things you simply don’t do. He spat in our face publicly and that’s no way to behave.

Netanyahu ought to remember that President Obama has a year and a half left to his presidency, and that there will be a price.”

What a nasty, petulant child we have in the White House! No wonder he resents America hearing from a REAL leader…

  5. Senate approved the bill for Keystone pipeline!
    Just heard on Cavuto.
I also listened to three people: Sgt. Dakota Meyers, Sean Parnell, Army Ranger, and Kirl Lippold (USS Cole)
They all spoke well. It was hard to type, questions and answers were to fast.
We have to state what the problem is, so we can fix it.
If you cannot define/name the enemy, you cannot defeat them. They are the enemy of the world, not just us.
If USA does not take leadership role, other Countries will fill that void.
Need a P. that embrasses this role.
