    • And we’ve had “Ferguson-type” protests going on in the DC area, too…..14th Street Bridge, DOJ, and marches down U Street (1/2 block from where my daughter lives in DC). Even my lib friends were complaining today about being inconvenienced by Zippy!

    • They actually mentioned the presidential motorcade on the radio broadcast of the Washington Capitals game tonight as a reason people were sitting in traffic. They said they hoped people could at least enjoy listening to the game while stuck in their cars.

  1. I have an awful feeling that McConnell and Boehner are about to deliver a slap in the face to conservatives and independents who voted Republican in November.

    • I agree. I left messages with Boehner and on his blog and called my Congressman with my views on immigration and the executive amnesty plan. Will call McConnell’s office — the land where no one answers the phone — unless it is election time. McConnell , is skilled, but he is a RINO and he is only a conservative when it is time to get re elected. And that is fleeting. I expect McConnell and Boehner are more concerned with a government shut down than they are with the constitution or stopping Obama’s over reach.

  2. Lunch with Biden and then a meeting with McConnell after that. I would bet money that Biden would not mind Mitch joining them for lunch. President Obama is nothing but a RUDE PETTY SOB. You can’t be civil and invite the future Senate Majority Leader to lunch? For that matter, Boehner as well.

On the petty front ………Chuck Todd has practically been Press Secreteary for the WH than a reporter at the WH. He picks up Chuck Todd’s new book and calls it sad. Maybe Mitch will offer a 1/2 billion dollar severance package for him to resign and go to a secluded island in Hawaii. If he keeps his mouth shut until, after the election he will recieve all his money. Of course, the next President could then issue an Executive Order stopping the payment……….poetic justice!

    • Chuck is probably cooing with pride that the pres even knows who he is… By the way, what is up with his stupid MTP set where he strides from table to table. AWKY, as Andy Cohen would say.

      • I saw on the news at lunch that the “sad” comment about Todd was really about Obama’s face in the pix on the book–and his kid agreed, looks like a sad book. Quick retrieve or true? Probably a try to defuse…I am not buying it.

  3. We have a nice parliamentary crisis in my country right now. The Socialists-Greens “won” the election and it has been downhill since then. I write “won” because the old government lost when so many voted for the new party, Sverigedemokraterna ( SD ), a party critical of the enormous immigration. They, ( the leaders are mostly young ,well-educated men ) claim ( and I think rightly so ), that our welfare-system is breaking and it will never hold up with so many new immigrants that will arrive next year and the years after. And anti -immigration is labeled “racism” by the media, therefor the other politicians cowardly have tried to isolate SD with various strategies and tactics. But the vengeance is here. True to their words SD are now , in a rather spectacular way, torpedoing the governments budget and all the other politicians, and the media, is reeling and scrambling. This will probably result in a new election. All of a sudden our politics is interesting too.

    • You are at an advantage compared to us because you have a parliamentary system. We have a very dangerous two years ahead of us, but it is interesting how your media is so similar to ours in its destructive, imho, orientation. And there are these parallels on immigration which I also see happening in France and England. SD sounds a bit like Ukip in Great Britain. Best of luck to Sweden!

    • Sorry to be so gabby, but I have a question. Is Sweden on its way to becoming a bilingual country like the USA? I mean, are all forms of communications being posted in Arabic as well as Swedish?

  4. Well, we have joked about it here, but now it is confirmed. The president receives his Daily Briefing via tablet, so whether he reads it or not is open to debate. Certainly there is no one to emphasize what might be important (and explains why he never knows what is going on until it is in the news… read the Briefing!)

Wish the CIA was doing more important work than watching TV shows and tweeting about it…

  5. I am suspicious of Obama’s recent spurt of activity. Nothing happens without a reason at this WH and I don’t trust that reason to be good.

    • We should be more wary then ever bore of Obama at this stage of his Presidency. He’s got a lot to squeeze in with only two years to do it. Pedal to the metal. Zoom.

At this point, Obama is like one of those characters in a sci-fi movie who pretends to be a “nice guy”. But at the right moment, the character tears off his outer “skin”, and reveals a cannibalistic, fire breathing, bubble eyed, drooling, snorting monster who wants to destroy everything n sight.

  6. Notice the time between meetings. Basically meeting with people for short bursts of time allowing him to spew his ***** but leaving no time for others to reply and no discussions.
