As of now, I am in control here, in the White House

Fire Valerie Jarrett . . . “We’re at that point in an already long-toothed presidency when things inside really need to change. In the days before anyone knew how brutally the Democrats would get beaten, politicians and staffers and pundits were urging a shakeup of the White House staff . . . On balance it appears that Jarrett has been more an obstructer than a facilitator over the past six years when it comes to governing, and it’s probably long past time for the president to move her gently into another role.” Politico Magazine

Obama rebuffs GOP demands not to act . . . Obama said on Face the Nation that he will issue an order easing the threat against deportation for immigrants in the country illegally despite warnings from Republican leaders that he would be poisoning the well with a newly elected GOP-controlled Congress. Associated Press

Obama takes some responsibility for the loss . . . Obama said the buck ultimately stops with him during an interview with CBS’s “Face the Nation,” his first Sunday show appearance since September. “And so whenever, as the head of the party, it doesn’t do well, I’ve got to take responsibility for it,” Obama said. “The message that I took from this election, and we’ve seen this in a number of elections, successive elections, is people want to see this city work.” The Hill

VA Secretary to announce major overhaul . . . The Secretary of Veterans Affairs will announce Monday a massive restructuring of the department in the wake of a scandal that left more than a hundred thousand veterans waiting for health care. Officials scramble to finish ACA website backup . . . The Obama administration is expressing confidence that is no longer the rickety online insurance marketplace that exasperated consumers a year ago. Behind the scenes, however, federal health officials and government contractors are scrambling. Washington Post

Obamacare creator: The “stupidity of Americans” . . . Obamacare architect Jonathan Gruber said that lack of transparency was a major part of getting Obamacare passed because “the stupidity of the American voter” would have killed the law if more people knew what was in it. Daily Caller

The administration’s ISIS Crisis . . . Problems with the war have been compounded by a lack of senior officials with deep expertise in Iraq and Syria and by a policymaking process hounded by rivalries and unclear leadership. Kerry’s State Department has clashed with the Pentagon, Congress is complaining about not being consulted – and officials say there’s no clear very senior owner of the war in the White House since the president finally made the call to embark on it. Politico

Inside Rand Paul’s grand plan . . . Paul, who will face a much more crowded field on the Republican side but starts out as a slight front-runner in public polls, has begun an aggressive early campaign against Clinton. Politico

  1. Really? A “acl of transparency” (i.e., lies) kept the stupid voters from ruining Obamacare? I think the stupid voters figured out pretty fast that this was a life-changing mess–probably around the first Nebraska bribe it took to get it passed.

  2. Back to being a broken record on the immigration thing–say he makes x million “legal,” and the Congress votes a measure that takes years and fines to get someone legal–voila, the Republicans get blamed for superseding the “nice” measure. The motives here are pretty transparent–he gets credit for “bravely” acting on his own and the other party gets slammed for counteracting.

    • That will never ever happen. If she leaves, it will be her choice, and it will be somewhere she has a lot of power and money. And she will be available to Barack and Staff 24/7. If she left and I was in this Administration I would sweep daily for bugs, tape over my laptop or table camera, and turn off my phone when not in use.

Put I suspect if she ever leaves there will be a morning, noon and evening video conference.

And during the week, she will retire to the Family quarters ValJar Guest Bedroom. She and Barack are one. Creepy, creepy, creepy.

  3. Wow, Fire Valerie Jarret…………

I would not want to work in Politico’s Office. I bet Valjar has a drone overhead and Special Forces awaiting the author Carol Fesrhenthal to enter the building. ISIS will not receive the ass-kicking from the Obama Administraion that Politico will get. Hell hath no fury like Valjar Scorn……..

She is just another example of the Obama Administrations view that they are above the law. She is the closest advisor who has a Secret Service Detail and resides in the White House. Yet, she was not vetted by the Senate. I will never forget her comment a few days after the 08 election when she stated that they could wait to begin to “rule” day one. She is nothing but evil………..

  4. He puts forward his upcoming demand, order, rule, do as I say or the highway regarding immigration. Not a word of securing the border. Not a word of discussion of him being on the phone with Mexico to clean up their side as well. He does not welcome all the illegals to be cramed into his kids classrooms. He does not welcome them to set up house in his current or future backyard.
