In the history of mankind, many republics have risen, have flourished for a less or greater time, and then have fallen because their citizens lost the power of governing themselves and thereby of governing their state. TR

      1. I am betting on a photo op and hug. Then she will enshrined next to Sandra Fluke and an icon is born! Or heroine I guess.

No way Barack Obama is not going to hook up with whiny nurse. I would not be at all surprised if this was not a set up from the beginning.

        1. From what I read in the local Maine papers and elswhere she has a lot of people opposed to her so meeting with her just might not work out so well for Obama.

        1. CNN reported yesterday some of those doctors Obama staged an Ebola conference-photo-op with at the WH are still in the 21 day quarantine period.

We just don’t know for sure how this virus is transmitted, I thought that was pretty wreckless of him to put the WH at such risk.

    1. I hereby DEMAND that Obummer not only meet with the whiny nurse, but also that he hug and kiss her. I also want her to sneeze and cough in his presence.

Hell, I think they should toast her good health with a glass of champagne, sipped from the same glass. ‘Cause, she is totally safe, not a risk at all.

So, do it, Obozo. Go ahead and put your money where your mouth is and prove to us how she’s no risk at all. Man up, doofus!

          1. Don’t suppose we could ask the Secret Service to put its foot down and not potentially expose the president–think of the paperwork if he spikes a temp or starts coughing. He already looks kinda sweaty and greenish most of the time–plus the glaring eyes.

    2. Ft Kent is around 300 miles +/- from Portland, so it’s not likely they will meet in person. There’s really no place to land AF1 near enough to Ft. Kent to make the timing work for the meeting. But, as Keith notes, there’s no doubt the WH has thought about it.

      1. According to what the president said yesterday, to do anything less than tracking down people who have worked in Africa and hugging and kissing them is “hiding” and lacks “leadership.”

  1. At first glance, it looked like a pretty busy day until you realize that NOTHING is for the benefit of the American people (unless he decides to attend the Presidential Daily Briefing).

    More of the same.

      1. Actually, he’s practicing the excuses already. It will be fun to watch him (and his team of amateurs) blame everyone but himself for Tuesday’s losses.

Josh Earnest is already telling the press how each member of congress is running on his own, as if Obama has nothing to do with it.

      2. Odds that Dear Leader Obama will have a major HISSY fit after Tuesday…?
Obama will be more OBNOXIOUS and VILE than he is now…

        1. If Josh should even start to make the same type of comment later today, I hope the reporter will interupt him and explain, that the American citizens feel that o has everything to do with it.

        2. Guaranteed he will be even worse after tuesday, regardless of the outcome. But…sadly…keep in mind that leading up to the 2012 Residential election Romney was poll-picked to win. It seemed like a done deal, and ballot fraud, multiple vote schemes, bussing outside of districts, the dead-vote, etc kept O’bola in the Oval Office. I’m not setting up for a big celebration yet. And, simply having McConnell in charge at the Senate and leaving Boehner in the House does not thrill me much. Trey Gowdy sitting in the Speaker’s seat however would give me hope for the future.

          1. I am convinced 2012 was fraudulent. And it is becoming increasingly obvious that voter fraud — from people to machines — will run rampant this election as well.

Judge Napolitano said that poll watchers and officials can go up to any voter at their own discretion and ask if they are citizens and qualified to vote. It sounds silly I know, but the mere fact of asking would probably deter many of the LaRaza recruits. The dead people, not so much.

    1. At first glance, it looked like a pretty busy day until you realize that NOTHING is for the benefit of the American people…

It’s just like the other 2,000 plus days of his presidency so far. When has he ever acted on behalf of the American people? This America-hating d-bag spends his days actively working against the best interests of this country. Destroying America has been his objective from the very beginning, and sadly, that’s the only area in which he’s doing a good job.

  2. By the way, the only reason Obummer is staying in Rhode Island Thursday night is so he can make some B.S. “remarks” on Friday on his way back to DC so he can bill the trip to the taxpayers:

Afterward, the President will travel to the Providence, Rhode Island area, where he will remain overnight.

On Friday, the President will deliver remarks at Rhode Island College on the economy and the importance of pursuing policies that help women succeed. Further details on the President’s travel to Rhode Island will be made available in the coming days. Following his remarks, the President will return to Washington, D.C. In the evening, the President and the First Lady will welcome local children and children of military families to trick-or-treat at the South Portico of the White House.

    1. “children of military families to trick-or-treat” – yup, gotta get the photo ops for supporting military families in somewhere.

Maybe they could all come dressed as doctor’s.. borrow from the WH closet.

  3. Back in the day when I could afford it, I remember the best lobster tails from Maine and also the closed borders of Australia. Yummy what a coincidence. Is the Mrs food monitor flying on our dime too?

    1. Im stuck in Delaware and this is nothing new. Ive had Republican campaign signs stolen from my yard several times over these past few years.

        1. Thanks for posting the clip (video). I saw that on Fox this morning. I think part of the punishment besides the fine, and or jail, is to have him place the signs back on the lawn.

          1. Yes I agree, however the cameras on him doing that, would at least bring more attention to the childish, sneaking thing he did for his Dem. wife.

  4. Michelle is here first today with a RI candidate for a campaign stop at a public elementary school. Thought that was illegal. No politics during the school day. Then BHO in town for fundraiser date night in providence. Interesting insight about his potential meeting earlier in the day with the quarantined nurse.

    1. Michelle is here first today with a RI candidate for a campaign stop at a public elementary school. SNIP

Talk about your captive audience! I’d pull my kid from school today.

      1. Our RI public school system bans sending the kids home with GOTV notices for school committee candidates. The hypocrisy is sickening.
The Dems haul in flotus, plus I can’t get to my sales calls in the area with the traffic lock down. They hit my paycheck in oh, so many creative ways….

    2. She’s also going to Conn, to campaign for Malloy. I’m sure they are travelling on different planes, costing Americans double the money.

      1. Wondering if she will be duking it out with the VP to see who get to fly the 757 these next few days as both are flying everywhere. Anyone know how many miles their racking up for the vote?

      1. Reports this morning from Ft. Kent reveal she and her boyfriend are riding their bikes (as I write this), with State Police cars following them around. I’m not kidding. Not clear whether she is riding her bike downtown or in populated areas. We expect a judge to rule on her situation later today, and hopefully put an end to Kaci’s little circus act. The thing that stands out for me is that she is just too slick before the cameras, too practiced. I can’t put my finger on it. She’s clearly been heavily coached by her lawyers. She’s just too ready to act out her petulance and arrogance for public consumption. Weird..

        1. I do not have any citations but I read quickly the other day a piece that said she was turned down at Doctors without Borders, left her Ebola post early, one day or so in advance of quarantine. I would be absolutely not surprised to find that she is in collusion with the Dems or the WH. At the very least Sandra Fluke is her role model.

          1. Yea, there just seems to be something going on behind the curtains, something being staged for whatever reason. We’ll learn what it is eventually, if there is, in fact, anything going on.

          2. Something seems staged about this whole thing. She LOL’ed and said “no” when her mother asked if she was worried she would be quarantined. Then we have her failure to disclose that she was employed by the CDC, the news article the day after she was quarantined that led not only to the deletion of her LinkedIn account but the Google cache file was scrubbed. Then we find out her lawyer is a frequent WH visitor and has connections to Al Sharpton. How many people have the opportunity to have lawyers with WH connections? It will be interesting to see how this plays out in Maine.

  5. …any excuse to fly around on his plane.

VOTE the democrats out of office and let’s begin to solve the many problems that face us today.

Over the last 3 years our health insurance policy has risen 65% due to Obamacare and our deductible has doubled. More than likely our premiums would have risen substantially more for 2015 had Obama not take our taxpayer money and given it to the insurance companies to keep premiums down during an election year.

Obama cares little but simply uses taxpayer money as his personal slush fund.

  6. OT: As many as 20 to 30 former Gitmo detainees released within the last two to three yrs are suspected by Intelligence and Defense Officials of having joined forces with ISIS and other militant groups inside Syria.
Of the 620 detainees released from Gitmo, 180 have returned or are suspected to have returned to the battlefield.

  7. OT: There is a picture of a man having dinner with a picture of his deceased wife on the table. He never dines without the picture.
The article explains how he met her, went off to WWII, lost touch with her. Never married, untill he found her 10 years later.

  8. After November 4th it’s time for that crucial all important White House activity, planning the Obama Christmas vacation! Advance teams are already scouring the high dollar donor database mining that information against the property tax records on Maui for the perfect retreat.
