In the history of mankind, many republics have risen, have flourished for a less or greater time, and then have fallen because their citizens lost the power of governing themselves and thereby of governing their state. TR

Video || I Hear You Knocking, Lois . . .

You may be aware the other day that a video was put out featuring conservative writer Jason Mattera ambushing former IRS official Lois Lerner while she was walking her dogs, asking her if she wanted to apologize for targeting conservatives.

Now, I’m no fan of such tactics, which I think are designed more to call attention to the ambusher than actually elicit information or make a serious point. But I did think it was kind of funny that when she tried to escape by knocking on a neighbor’s door, they¬†told her and her dogs to get lost.

Humorist and musician The Ronnie Buss thought it was amusing too.

  1. Thanks for the morning laugh Keith. That man’s comment caught my attention last week. Has anyone seen a T-Shirt yet with the neighbor’s comment on it? :)

  2. Ha! Very nice video. Like it a lot.

    But I don’t know, Keith. I understand where you’re coming from regarding tactics like that, and don’t disagree that you are often (perhaps usually) correct about their intent. However, it sure seemed that Ms. Lerner, the dear lady, felt the encounter was more about the attention being called to her rather than any that might accrue to Jason Mattera. To answer the question he asked her in his video, I don’t think she liked being singled out very much.
