Butt, it is 3 hours later in DC.
Note that he’ll be ready to speak (read: beg) at a DNC fundraiser on a weekend earlier than he receives the PDB on a weekday at the White House.
That should tell you something about this guy.

This article is mildly interesting — my takeaway is that Obama has the largest (but most incompetent) national security apparatus ever. And Ben Rhodes is even more worthless than I had imagined. And has more power and influence than he should. He is perfect for Obama the man.

Departs San Francisco at 11:15 a.m.
Arrives at the the W. House at 7:10 p.m.
It doesn’t take that long to fly back. Is he having a party on board? Perhaps playing putt putt golf during that time. It would be very difficult to hit the ball under the seats, to reach the hole.
My best guess is the time difference unless he’s making a secret pit stop.
You’re right, when you account for the three hour time difference, it’s a five hour flight. I’ve flown CA to MD many times (though not on AF-1, alas).
Another holiday weekend he couldn’t get a t-time? Will we shortly find out he was turned down multiple times like he was Labor Day?
I wonder what would happen if this were published all over the world.
