  1. I suppose his health meeting will focus on Ebola and would like to know where we are on that. Are US troops already in Africa, and if so, what function are they performing vis-a-vis the disease? As in everything else Obama does, he is not keeping us informed or up to date.

  2. The British Parliament is recalled to consider British intervention in Iraq and possibly Syria ( that is to join US and the Arabs with the bombings ). Many believe the votes are rigged for a yes. Peter Hitchens discusses intervention today on Mail Online in a , in my opinion, brilliant way. Please read it.

    • I appreciate the article. I noted:
Most of us, when we become adults, have learned not to respond to those who goad us into fights.
If someone wants to actively fight, we usually find a good reason not to provide him with one.

    • Hitchens certainly makes a brilliant case for non-intervention. Thanks for the article, SL.

Among other things, Hitchens made an excellent observation with regard to ransoms. We could say the same for Obama with regard to Hamas and Abbas.

“Some would say that the elevation of the late Yasser Arafat to the role of world statesman, and the support of the ‘West’ for a Palestinian State, is likewise an example of a ransom being paid.”

    • I wasn’t able to find it, but I will go through the Daily Mail again. In the meantime, there is an article by Patrick Buchanan which you would like on RealClearPolitics which Keith has linked on the left side of this page. I hope it works for you.

  3. Nice he’s dragging out his motorcade during DC’s Friday rush hour. Didn’t he “joke” at the Clinton event that he doesn’t understand why people are always complaining about the traffic since it’s never a problem for him ?

    • Obama doesn’t do briefs in person. He gets them on his twitter feed./s/ Bush was at his desk every morning at 7:00; Obama needs a map to find the Oval Office.
