In the history of mankind, many republics have risen, have flourished for a less or greater time, and then have fallen because their citizens lost the power of governing themselves and thereby of governing their state. TR

DWS in Deep Democratic DooDoo

Does Debbie Wasserman Schultz bug you? I know she does. Guess what. She bugs Obama too.

According to Politico, the White House nearly got rid of her after 2012 and the Hillary Clinton campaign, as it gets up in running, probably will finish the job.

From the piece:

Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz is in a behind-the-scenes struggle with the White House, congressional Democrats and Washington insiders who have lost confidence in her as both a unifying leader and reliable party spokesperson at a time when they need her most.

Long-simmering doubts about her have reached a peak after two recent public flubs: criticizing the White House’s handling of the border crisis and comparing the tea party to wife beaters . . . .

The Obama team was so serious about replacing her after 2012 that they found a replacement candidate to back before deciding against it, according to people familiar with those discussions.

Obama and Wasserman Schultz have rarely even talked since 2011. They don’t meet about strategy or messaging. They don’t talk much on the phone.

Instead, the DNC chairwoman stakes out the president of the United States at the end of photo lines at events and fundraisers.

“You need another picture, Debbie?” Obama tends to say, according to people who’ve been there for the encounters.

One particularly annoying habit according to the piece, as the DSW wants the DNC to pay for her clothes.

Here she is in her most recent gaffe, comparing tea party members to domestic violence abusers.

  1. Under the bus you go Debbie Downer ! It’s the Obama way, when you stop being a useful idiot (i.e. Pelosi, Reid) in this administration you will be dumped.

If she is on her way out, I wonder who will replace her? It can’t get much worse, or can it?

  2. I recall that the domestic abuse charge or comparison was not with the Tea Party but with Scott Walker in WI, and since then, Walker, who was having trouble at the polls, has surged a little.

I’m not sticking up for DWS, but I think Obama and the DNC will be looking for someone to blame after the November elections, someone besides themselves of course.

  3. Everyone in Congress just stood up and clapped for Ukraine Pres. Poroshenko as he addresses the rare joint meeting of Congress.
They clapped after he mentioned people today on the forefront int the global fight on democracy.
Wants military aid to fight Putin
That of course was off topic.
As far as wants her name. I do my best not to look or lister to her.
I would rather her attack bugs, than attack honest hard working people who have the right to their voice. As far as her dress, she may shop at the same place that m. does.

  4. The leftist Demokrat Party is well recognized for marching lockstep. And when you are on your way out, or out, it’s pretty cold out there — no one steps up for you.

No tears for the foul mouthed, stone cold shill .

  5. DWS may have been somewhat savvy, but she is not intelligent. In her support of Obamacare, she repeatedly explained (in her condescending, you-are-too-stupid-for-me-to-talk-to voice) that additional enrollees in the government managed health care system would drive costs down because costs would be spread among more people.
She forgot that those additional enrollees would incrementally drive costs up precisely because there were additional enrollees.
In my later years I simply have no tolerance for stupid people.
Karma is a bitch, DWS…good luck with that.

  6. “you need another picture, Debbie?” that’s pretty darn cold. I agree with my fellow Kofflerettes that DWS should stay right where she is. she is the gift that keeps on giving…to the Republicans.

  7. my try at commenting #3:

DWS is the perfect head of the party for the Obama Age. shrill and petulant, she doesn’t care about telling the truth if it gets in the way of the “narrative.”

the first 2 comments disappeared into thin air. hopefully this one will show up. the nice thing is that if it doesn’t, the world won’t be demonstrably the worse for it ;-)
