In the history of mankind, many republics have risen, have flourished for a less or greater time, and then have fallen because their citizens lost the power of governing themselves and thereby of governing their state. TR

    1. Don’t believe for one minute that these briefs are for the illegal chubbos; they’re really for the secret re-education camps for fat American guys.
MrsObama’s dream is to round up all the chubbos, put them in the re-education camp, force them to wear tighty-whities and eat nothing but arugula and cabbage burgers.

    2. Started to laugh and then realized this is no laughing matter. Never thought of it before, but these illegals do not arrive with Louis Vuitton luggage. They arrive in tatters. “We” are buying more than ‘Tighty-Whities’ for them. How about sending the tab the IMF? We taxpayers are tapped out and sick of supporting parasites.

  1. A summit on “Working Families”…

2 things that are fading in today’s America:

Families (at least those with 2 parents living with their kids)
    and People working.

  2. Here’s some promo on the event , and, of course, Obama is pretty much the only face you can see. But I ask you what is wrong with this picture? Not very diverse — where are are gay families, our AA families, our Hispanic families, our American Muslim families? Or are there composite families for each demographic that Obama is reaching out to? And since when does he care about families anyway? His entire Administration is about the destruction of families and allegiance to the almighty State. More BS Obama propaganda — and where there is a family and children and a table — Mooch is not far behind.

    1. What I see, is that preezy is at the ‘head of the table’ – you know, the place where “working dads” once sat. The staging is so bad, where to begin.

  3. Humn, a summit on “working families”? WTF. Has there ever been a more useless summit?

I have no idea, they need to have a “summit” on those non-working families. Those who burden our social services.

Please Obama, focus on how to clean that up. Us working people and families can figure this stuff out for ourselves. Gawd, I hate our government.

    1. This isn’t about the future of working families or their current situation. This is about another commie scheme to get congress to pass a law forcing employers to give every employee PAID leave to care for sick children or, I don’t know, take the car to the repair shop. Whatever.
The “war on women, y’know, where women have to make a choice of losing pay to care for their sick children or let the kids suffer alone or something.
The last number offered for this paid leave was 12 days – two weeks of paid leave. Nice, huh.

      1. Agree. It’s also another scheme for govt. babysitting services, aka Universal Child Care.
Since when are ‘working families’ so unique? We all came from working families before this insanity began. And we all managed to do just fine-thank you very much,.
I, for one, would like to see a summit on Why Working Families Want the Govt. to Get the H*ll out of Their Life.

  4. Working families, huh? Maybe that’s it–repeal the child labor laws and get the tots out there earning. Mika scored some sort of interview with Himself as part of “working fams.” She nodded approvingly once at an answer, but actually seemed critical in discussing it. He was his usual call-it-in blah self, as far as I could see. Yes, Iraq was stable, but now it’s not…yak yak. No. no residual force in Afghanistan…

  5. Hi Keith, first of all, your “contact” page form doesn’t seem to be working…

My actual comment is. When Obama receives the daily briefing as noted in your daily calendar, ( “10:00 am || Receives the President Daily Briefing”) does he actually have a meeting with his staff on this or is this when he gets his version of a newspaper to read over a cup of coffee?
