President Obama is playing golf today with White House aides Marvin Nicholson and Joe Paulsen and with Paul Tewes, the Democratic strategist who ran Iowa for Obama in 2008 and engineered the upset victory there that propelled him to the nomination.
The weather at Joint Base Andrews, where Obama is playing is sunny and in the low 70s.
It’s Obama’s ninth round this year and the 166th of his presidency.

I grew up in NoVa, Cherry Blossom time was a BFD back then, celebrating the Japan-US thing. Lots of cultural celebration between the two countries, and, geesh, thanking Japan for planting all those freaking trees for us :) It was a glorious celebration of Spring arriving at DC too.
I just got back from the tidal basin. Blossoms are beautiful – but, subway, streets, parks are a huge litter mess. Compared to what you remember, this would break your heart. bho is afraid to be around people – scared he’d be hurt. Glad he didn’t show up. That would have made things even worse.
He’s given up, hasn’t he? There are no more arrows in his quiver, if there ever were, and all that’s left is ugly rhetoric against half of America.
His speechifying at the Rev of No Church Sharpton’s confab was really nasty ugly, and not at all what a true POTUS would ever say in public.
The O’care is dying on the streets, his numbers are in the tank, the world laughs at him (and us), so what’s left other than vacations, ugly partisan/racist speeches, fundraising and fun stuff?
When a child misbehaves it works to take his favorite toy away from him.
I feel that AF1 should be grounded unless there is a National emergency.

He has to hit HS in all 57 states before he leaves.

Always add where he’s golfing. One needs to get a feel for how much of our money is getting pissed away on travel for the president and his undoubtedly massive entourage.
Obama golfs on US Military bases means his entourage has kick active US troops & retired/veterans off the bases golf course.
I wonder if he took a time out to discuss, review the armed men taking over police stations in Ukraine,
However I just read Biden is going to Ukraine NEXT month.
Biden is going to assure the Ukraine that Obama has their back, you know, just like Israel, Japan, Poland, SoKorea and the rest of our allies.

Speaking of Obama and golf, there were posters around Augusta, Georgia and even at the front gates of the Masters Tournament showcasing Obama. One poster said “Sub Par”. (Obviously whoever made them didn’t realize that in golf sub par is good.) The other said “If you like your handicap, you can keep your handicap.”
Julie, the posters were actually at the entrance to the Augusta Country Club, which is “next door” to the Augusta National where the Masters Tournament is held. I doubt that the good folks at Augusta National would have allowed the posters at the entrance to Magnolia Drive, although it was a hoot to see them elsewhere. Interestingly, Bill Clinton used to show up in Augusta regularly for no reason at all, but he was never invited to play at the Augusta National. Apparently, Obummer knows he wouldn’t be welcome either.

Sorry if I came off as correcting your list, Owen. I think it’s great that you’re keeping track of it for us! It’s just that I thought I remembered that he and his pals ventured off the estate that weekend in CA to go play at some billionaire’s oasis in the desert private club. I had to do a search to see if I was remembering this right or dreaming. It’s so hard to keep track off his many golf outings and vacations!
