As of now, I am in control here, in the White House

    • Let your daughter know this has nothing to do with her being a wonderful worker, person, etc. Remind her when one door closes the next one with be the better.
In other words the next job she gets may be wonderful compared to the last. If she had not been laid off, the new job would not have been pursued.
Smiles for you and your daughter.

    • as Mark explained I’m stunned that a mom able to earn $8523 in four weeks on the computer . take a look at the site here… FB39.COM

    • Yes, positive thoughts going out to your daughter, Marjo-Jimbo. She will weather the storm and emerge all the stronger for it. This despot at the helm will not keep us down.

    • My best wishes, MarjoJimbo. You are the second person on WHD who has recently mentioned a relative losing a job. It’s getting to be scary as we are such a small group. My only advice is to tell her to take whatever she can get in the meantime and to keep on looking for what she really wants. I’ve read that the longer people stay on unemployment, the less likely they are to be hired again.

    • what April responded I’m startled that a stay at home mom able to get paid $5102 in 4 weeks on the internet . hop over to this site… FB39.COM

  1. Good morning all. Another morning enjoying my first cup of coffee, and something on news that is… I’ll let someone else respond to the rest of the former sentence. Thanks.
This morning on Fox they were discussing New York mayor, Bill de Blasio’s statement: Pro Life, Pro Anit Gay, And Pro Gun people are not welcome in New York City.
The statements, demands, request that people are infringing on this Free America is getting exhausting.

  2. We have been going to the annual Ft. Fisher Civil War re-enactments since 2006. It is primarily an outdoor event, and there are demonstrations, music, and talks about life during the Civil War. It has always been a great educational and fun day with many families and Civil War buffs in attendance.

Today was the first time I saw a policeman walking around in full uniform and carrying a gun. Why for goodness sake was he there? There were also two sheriff cars in the parking lot, so there were more around, too.

I think we are turning into a police state.

    • I would love to hear the conversations policeman of today are having with their family members. It’s OK honey we are just watching these people. Our kids will still have their freedom without anyone watching, listening, etc., everything they do.

By the way Marjo Jimbo, my family and our friends went to Myrtle Beach last year. I wanted to go to the Outer Banks, but I was out numbered. I pulled the site for Ft Fisher and see that it is the 149th anniversary of Battle of Fort Fisher. We could pretend the policeman is just like a lamp post and ignore him. However that is what most American Citizens are doing, if they ignore everything going on, it will go away. Ha!

      • No it is a free country. I know you were joking. I just like to menton that from time to time for people who don’t know there history, and are allowing the Country to fall apart.
I should run that in the paper, because there isn’t any one here who needs teaching.

  3. Interesting report from the Hill:

    >If the ObamaCare contractor brought on last week to fix the back-end of the portal doesn’t finish the build-out by mid-March the healthcare law will be jeopardized, according to a procurement document posted on a federal website.

It says insurers could be bankrupt and the entire healthcare industry threatened if the build out is not completed.<

    • Obamacare is on life support and should be allowed to die a natural death. Unfortunately, Dr. Strangelove will keep it alive with a perpetual IV drip of taxpayer funds.

    • Instead of O golfing and vacationing, etc. He should be meeting with all the American Citizens who lost there insurance!!!!!
Meet without a stupid telepromter, and meet with them on live TV.
Meet with people as well who have not been on a Computer, or do not like to go on a computer and explain how fun it is putting all their personal information into this box.
My grandmother just passed 2 years ago. If she were still here she would have had family members to help her sit at the box for hours and days.
The comparison I have during Katrina there were many people of all walks of life who did not drive. Where was the help for them. They did not call a manditory evacuation while the 5
Hurricane was outside on N.O. Where did the buses end up?
Underwater! Everyone by the way blamed Bush. nonsense that was on the shoulder of the Mayor and Governer.

  4. Not much news of Michelle’s birthday party has leaked out yet. Supposedly they partied until at least 2am and there’s a few photos of guests. And Michelle wore red and black. Wonder if she recycled her old lava lamp/black widow dress? If the party had been in the private residence I could understand the embargo on photos and news reports. However, they partied in the People’s House, not their own, and should be accountable to us for all that takes place there. I don’t care to see a list of celebrities that attended, but I want to know who is paying for all the decorations, cleaning, serving staff, extra security and so forth.

      • I saw a photo of Jennifer Hudson and she said she didn’t take a gift. That was a bit risky I’m sure. Michelle Antoinette wouldn’t throw hereself a ball and not expect some kind of gift for all her efforts.

      • Good question as birthday parties imply gifts, right? Unless there’s a request to donate to a favorite charity in honor of the birthday guy/girl ?

All this hush, hush nonsense, I wouldn’t be surprised if it were a cleverly disquised DNC fundraiser. Or a rewarding invite for their high roller pals.

      • I think the no frills no food no gifts ‘fab at 50’ party was so unlike
the state dinner she would have demanded is they thought that
she might not come back from Hawaii less to cancel. I’m surprised we didn’t get an extra day holiday she’s so divine:-(

    • Rush said they’re paying for it so that’s why they told guests to eat before you come. Cheapskates !!! And tacky.

I’m no First Lady, but I know how to inform guests of what to expect. Light or heavy hors d’oeuvres and the time usually indicates whether or not to plan eating before or after a party.

^ A video of some of the attendees of the big bash, courtesy of NBC who was interviewing some of them.
What I saw was ‘fair-weather’ friends that had no idea who the Obamas were before 2008 and will most likely forget them soon.

As for the secrecy; anything that goes on in that WhiteHouse that involves the taxpayers shouldn’t be a secret. I dispute that they’re “paying for it”, unless the party was catered, set-up, and cleaned up by a private company.

  5. Here’s an example of the Orwellian politics this administration plays. Top of the front page on the WaPo: Obama faces big hurdles in plan to limit NSA power. Huh? He’s the perpetrator-in-chief and now the ultra lib press is making him out to be the angry and brave reformer who didn’t know anything about what was going on. I don’t think I can stand three more years of this.

    • A grade school child could have taken his postion and given the same poor excuses. The difference is a child is a child. This is a grown man who is working for us. The excuses of
I didn’t or don’t know are getting old.
By the way poor Nixon. If he were still alive and see this man get away with EVERYTHING would be very difficult to handle.
When my children were young and used the poor excuse of: I didn’t or don’t know, they were taught that exuse don’t ride.
      They stopped trying that ploy!

      • Correct but if you punish that kid for what he did. He will learn his lesson. If you ignore it, and tell him what a good boy/girl he is, the kid will continue to do it till he is bored.
I don’t think there is any chance of O getting bored anytime soon.

        • I think he is bored now.
          And becoming more impatient.
Time is of the essence, and the 2014 elections are on the horizon.
He doesn’t have a big enough grip on America yet, and he sees the possibility of failing in his effort to fundamentally transform America.

          • In the book DOUBLE DOWN, there is a section on BHO’s disastrous first debate with Romney wherein he is almost paralyzed and tells his handlers ‘debates are not his thing’….and he has no second term agenda. Everyone was worried.
Now that Podesta has come to the rescue, it looks like we are the ones who might have to worry.

          • Maybe not.
Remember the witch in the Wizard of Oz flipping the hourglass and telling Dorothy that that was the time she had left ?
Dorothy melted the witch with water.
Maybe the truth will melt Obama.

          • He has no experience Girly1, and it is obvious to those of us that have experience in many facets of life.
He cannot think on his feet.
He needs a teleprompter to make sure that he doesn’t ‘misspeak’.
When he is off the teleprompter, (without a tether) he tends to get excited and blurt out the true ideology that he desires for this Country.
            And it is hideous.

          • Agree with all of the above, AFVet.
Since Podesta is given credit for getting Bill Clinton through the Lewinsky scandal and impeachment trial, my instinct says there is something we don’t know yet. If Podesta can keep a lid on everything at least until after mid-terms, Obama will be able to do irreparable harm with EO’s, not to mention immigration – a disaster in the making.
At this point, Obama seems to be tamper-proof. No one is willing to lay a hand on him,

    • Julie, Barry can blame others all he want but his credibility is non-existing. He is still persecuting Snowden, isn´t he ? Snowden, on the other hand, has super high credibility over here.
By the way, what do you think about Barrys new reflections about that imaginary son of his , he wouldn´t let him play pro football ( Drudge Report ). Well, if the son resembles Trayvon Martin that would perhaps not be a possible career choice……

      • Hah! You read my mind: he’d rather have a son who walked around in a neighborhood he didn’t live in at 2 a.m. in the morning. But he is a hypocrite, Swedish Lady, because I’m certain he’s had winning football teams at the White House and gladly accepted jerseys with the number 44 on them. As for Edward Snowden, I hope he doesn’t let himself be tricked into coming back to the US. He wouldn’t be safe.

    • Newly released records confirm a 2012 Investigative Project on Terrorism (IPT) report that the State Department cleared the way for a visiting delegation of Muslim Brotherhood officials to enter the country without undergoing routine inspection by U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents.

But one member of the Brotherhood delegation, which met with U.S. academic and senior government officials, had been linked to a child pornography investigation in the United States years earlier. Under normal circumstances, he likely would have been subjected to extra scrutiny.

  6. That spam that fills your email inbox might be coming from inside your home – sent by a TV, a wireless router or even a refrigerator that’s been turned against you.

Computers and smartphones have long been the target of hackers, but a recent online attack exploited security holes in more than 100,000 Internet-connected home devices and used them to transmit about 750,000 spam and phishing emails over two weeks in late December and early January, according to Proofpoint, a spam-detection company that discovered the attack.

  7. New change (when ever they feel like it) Oh his Glorious Pen.
Another delay: Over rule preventing Employers from favoring executives. That is great for the executives who worked hard all of their career from getting the shaft. Wonderful for the people who voted on this as well.
All the other hard working Americans who worked hard to be covered by their insurance were overlooked.
The things that are happening here in America, you would think were suppose to directed to an ememy of the Country.

  8. A famed actress is facing backlash in San Francisco’s Latino community, after she voiced support for a conservative candidate for California governor.

The actress was to perform next month at the Brava Theater Center in San Francisco’s Mission District in a Spanish-language version of “The Vagina Monologues,” scheduled for a run from February 14th through 17th. The show is being produced by none other than Eliana Lopez, wife of San Francisco Sheriff Ross Mirkarimi.

  9. Just peachy!

A Syrian sheik who labeled all Jews as legitimate targets for suicide bombers and who supports the death penalty for homosexuals is the latest extremist Muslim cleric raising money for Syrian-American groups supporting dictator Bashar al-Assad’s ouster.

Sheik Mohammad Rateb al-Nabulsi is in the middle of an 11-city tour across America on co-sponsored by the Syrian American Council (SAC) and the Wylie, Texas-based Shaam Relief.
