In the history of mankind, many republics have risen, have flourished for a less or greater time, and then have fallen because their citizens lost the power of governing themselves and thereby of governing their state. TR

    1. It’s so pathetic and funny
As soon as I saw a full schedule, I immediately thought before I read it: “There must be fund raisers, a concert or a meet and greet with a celebrity”

Well there are two meet and greets

  1. Nice to see he’ll be getting together with his cabinet for a change (unless that’s where the food for lunch is stored.

Also nice that once again he can bask in the glory of another championship team, who will undoubtedly give him yet another jersey, while getting solicited for more Obamacare PR.

It’s nice to see that wall of separation between the media and the White House. After Maria Shriver showed up on Sunday to promote a report in line with Obama’s latest campaign, we now learn that her “report” is co-sponsored by the Center for American Progress. Gee, isn’t that the influence peddling and political scheming group run by John Podesta, he now working (again) for the White House?

    What a coincidence! What’s next?

  2. 4:45 pm || Meets with Defense Secretary Hagel

“Chuck – you’re not writing a book about me are you? Cause if you are, I have an editor who wants to review it before it goes to press. Know what I mean?”

  3. Maria Shriver has just written the talking points for the democrats to continue the “War on Women” meme against the Republicans. And when Hillary is the nominee than she can wave the book around and yell “Sexism!” Can’t they PLEASE get another playbook? I’m getting so tired of this same old stuff over and over again.

    1. Actually Maria Shriver has just READ the Progressive Demokrat Party’s talking points on the war on women which was started a few years back to prepare the path for Hillary.

Yeah, nothing like the wives of BillyJeff and Arnold . who are veterans of their own war on women, speak to the issue .

      1. “Yeah, nothing like the wives of BillyJeff and Arnold . who are veterans of their own war on women, speak to the issue.”

Amen! Don’t forget Shriver’s family’s history of mistreating women, including her uncle’s killing one.

        1. I believe they are permanently exempt. As a woman this faux
‘War on Women’ is insulting and sets women back instead of
forward if they had their way we’d be a bunch of needy whiny
          Sandra Fluke’s.

          1. Yeah, but some very smart women I knew totally believed Romney was against women–they would hear a random phrase–such as Republican War on Women–and it became gospel. We can’t forget this for a second. But if the Shriver thing is on women in poverty–wouldn’t that reflect on this admin? I still can’t figure how not providing people with birth control is a war on them–we bought our own and I don’t remember taking out a mortg to do it.

  4. Keith, were the meetings with cabinet members usually this short in the bush or Clinton years.
I know when I meet with my full team each month the meetings never last less than 1 hour. And individual meetings last at least an hour.
Yet he meets with everyone in an hour or so. And the things they discuss are a lot more complex than the things I discuss
