In the history of mankind, many republics have risen, have flourished for a less or greater time, and then have fallen because their citizens lost the power of governing themselves and thereby of governing their state. TR

“Some people are mystified as to why we need emergency unemployment assistance if my economic policies are a success, and I’m like, hey, doesn’t everyone enjoy a good mystery?”

– Barack Obama

like Micheal replied I am blown away that any body able to get paid $9729 in 1 month on the internet. this website… TEC80.COM

  1. Exactly! DoL, or whichever government acronym, tells America how the economy is recovering, based on new jobs. It discounts how few of the new jobs are actually full-time, how many people have quit seeking work, how many of those new jobs are government jobs and how much money the government is pumping into the market to artificially inflate it to give the appearance of recovery. The Obama recovery is a complete fraud; a charade in which there is no winner except BHO and his acolytes and the losers are all Americans, especially those sycophantic fools who believe race guarantees recovery and questioning that is racism.
There are none so blind as those who will not see; none so deaf as those who will not hear; none so stupid as those were publicly educated, but were not taught how to think.

    1. Bingo. The people who will be the latest WH props have already had two years of unemployment and failed to find a job.
It’s now at the point where unemployment is the new welfare system.

        1. Gotta disagree, SrDem–for every decent job advertised there are hundreds or even thousands of applicants. Incl the one my niece just got–$13 an hr, phone work.

  2. During our long social-democratic reign we also had problems with never ending long term unemployment benefits. More and more people ended up in those programs. I think it was the main reason why the center-rights won the election 2006 and has stayed on since then. They promised jobs-jobs-jobs and tax reforms and they delivered. But I have to say that the last social-democrat PM was a strong and responsible politician. He decided to, no matter what, fight the deficits and slim the expenses at the same time as he battled unemployment. He left the ship in a slowly recovering state. Gosh, it´s a pity in so many ways that Romney lost, I think he would have been a very responsible , respected leader. Look at how he handled those Olympic Games.
By the way, it´s reported over here that Jihad Jane got 10 years for a murder plot against Swedish artist Lars Wilks ( who made that Muhammed as a dog sketch ). I guess the court wanted to send a message and deter from home-made Islamic extremism. Don´t go there ! Thank you, USA !

    1. During the election campaign Romney made suggestions for creating jobs, namely in the sector of traditional energy (oil, gas, electricity), but he also promised the start up or the restart of manufacturing on a small scale and cited a successful steel plant in the middle of the Indiana cornfields. The media ignored the latter, and the public was unaware of it.

  3. Obama’s remarks today will be yet another of his re-education speeches to convince people that he’s working so very hard to help people, how income inequity is a great evil, how he would like to help unemployed people but those awful Republicans are blocking his miraculous powers to do so. Oh, and income inequity, he likes that idea. In other words, he may as well read directly from Marx’s Das Kapital, Chapter 2.

  4. “I cannot undertake to lay my finger on that article of the Constitution which granted a right to Congress of expending, on objects of benevolence, the money of their constituents.” – James Madison
