In the history of mankind, many republics have risen, have flourished for a less or greater time, and then have fallen because their citizens lost the power of governing themselves and thereby of governing their state. TR

Michelle’s New Holiday Tradition – Fundraising on Thanksgiving!

Michelle Obama today sent out an email making clear that NOTHING’S SACRED anymore, using the Thanksgiving holiday to raise money for President Obama’s political arm, Organizing for Action.

Titled “From out family to yours,” the missive states:

Barack and I have so much to be grateful for this Thanksgiving, and that includes people like you who’ve been by our side, working for change right from the beginning.

Me? Uhh, they got the wrong guy. Unless pointing out mistakes and hypocrisies is helpful, which I guess it is. Okay, you’re welcome.

Because of your hard work, passion, and dedication, we have accomplished so much over this past year.

I have been working hard, yes. I hope Santa noticed too. Because Santa gives, not takes.

Before we all celebrate with our personal traditions tomorrow, I want to start a new one — I’m hoping that you’ll take a moment to share what you’re thankful for this year:

Uh oh. You put your message in and hit the button, and a screen pops up offering to lighten your wallet by varying amounts – up to $1,000 or some “other amount.”

A new tradition of fundraising on Thanksgiving! Heartwarming.

OFA will be gathering some of these notes and sharing them on I can’t wait to see what you have to say.

Wonder what else of mine OFA will be sharing.

Thanks so much for everything you’re doing — and from our family to yours, happy Thanksgiving.

Well thank you, Michelle. And I wish you a happy Thanksgiving too, even though you’re hitting me up for money.

Oh, and OFA also sent a gracious thank you note, of course pushing the envelope a little further.

In the spirit of Thanksgiving, will you pass this on and ask your friends and family to share what they’re thankful for, too?

Just forward this link to three people right now:

In the spirit of Thanksgiving I’LL SQUEEZE MY FRIENDS FOR SOME CASH TOO! Yes, good idea.

They just can’t stop themselves. Because you see, what Barack is doing is so important, we musn’t worry about niceties.

Can’t wait for my Christmas greeting.

  1. You’re just being mean to my BFF Michelle (we’re on a first name basis) to mention the money thing. Why, she just wanted to tell me how much she appreciates all my support and hard work on her behalf, gosh she’s just amazing and so polite.
Bless her heart, she just wants to spread the love.
Serious now; these e-mails with their chatty, first name, thinking about you messages are a brilliant PR idea. We don’t get nice thank yous or best wishes from any Senator or Congress person, and the Governor doesn’t know who we are (or care), butt this Dem outfit knows how to make friends, and keep them.
It’s using social media at it’s finest. The Repubs should be so modern.

    1. Roger said I didn’t even know that a stay at home mom able to make ($)7905 in one month on the computer. see this>>> FB39.COM

      1. If they aren’t, they should be.
I hope people are sickened by this blatant and disrespectful treatment of one of America’s most beloved holidays.

What’s next – a plea to give, give, give to Barry and Me-Chelle instead of giving Christmas gifts?

        1. These people are completely the lowest of the low — asking for money all the time and even on Thanksgiving. Fund raisers every week for the Obamas, why? They should be raising money for the deficit, they should be putting this much effort in fixing the deficit, but no — raising Obama money for their communist/socialist party to ruin our once wonderful America. Forget it, get them out of here with their selfishness. We have the First Welfare Family living off all of us in our WHITE HOUSE? Unbelievable

  2. The last thing on Thansgiving i have to be Thankful of is Michelle hitting me for money. She needs to get out of that House and go to work if she needs money.

  3. Absolutely no shame.
Sadly, after being screwed via ObamaCare, the serfs will comply.
” A new tradition “. So the inference is this will happen every holiday from now on?
    I don’t think so Mooch.

  4. These people think that we are stupid.
Yeah,…I’ll bet that they are thankful for the all the benefits they get while squatting in the White House, access to the Air Force jets whenever they want, etc. and etc.
All the while destroying people’s lives that have worked hard and find themselves in the middle class.
BTW, Rush just said that the small company section of Obamacare has been delayed until November of next year.
    Go figure !

      1. Because, supposedly, companies will be dumping around 80,000 employees. When, oh when, are the Republicans going to challenge Obama’s changes to his own “establilshed law’ in the courts? After Obama has stacked them?

    1. The Dems are panicked, big time. They obviously didn’t think this mess all the way through to the inevitable result.
It’s just weird that they didn’t think that millions of people losing their current health insurance would be a huge negative for them.

What were they thinking anyway? Some people talk about the secret single-payer plan, but that’s just insane. We don’t have enough money to pay for everyone’s health care now, or in the future. We’re broke, and deep in debt.

      1. I’m betting the Democrats knew all along what would happen, and soon they will be telling us that there’s no fix but to go to single payer.

    2. Everything will be delayed until after the elections in 2014. And most of the people complaining about Obamacare will continue to vote for the socialists. Just ask Kirsten Powers.

      1. They’re even trying to delay the open enrollment until after the elections next year. Another bait and switch plan in the making.. Sign up for this loverly insurance today – and we’ll screw you tomorrow.

      2. I think and have always felt thathese delays are being done on purpose — until after the elections, this Administration is so devious and so obvious. I really feel that after they spent billions on the website, they could care less that its taxpayer money and will delay and stall until after elections. I can’t believe that no one can fix this website, its all planned and on purpose because the terrible democrats are terrified of the elections coming soon, what a terrible political party they are, these socialist democats, only worried about their own hides. And they get away with stealing our money and throwing taxpayer money out the window everyday?

  5. I’d try to rank this on a list of “disgusting stuff from around the web,” but that would mean I might incite some curiosity, so I’d better not.

I’ll just say, “This is what we get for having a ghetto-fabulous First Lady,” and leave it at that.

  6. I believe in justice , maybe even oldtimey nemesis . These people will be punished. Cf the Kennedy Clan and Big Daddy Joe’s many crimes , big and small .

  7. Tomorrow is Thanksgiving, a time for Americans to pause and reflect on the gifts that G-d has provided over the past year.

At sunset tonight begins the Jewish Festival of Lights, or Chanukah. For those who are not familiar with the story of Chanukah, here is a condensed version from Judaism 101 (
The story of Chanukkah begins in the reign of Alexander the Great. Alexander conquered Syria, Egypt and Palestine, but allowed the lands under his control to continue observing their own religions and retain a certain degree of autonomy. Under this relatively benevolent rule, many Jews assimilated much of Hellenistic culture, adopting the language, the customs and the dress of the Greeks, in much the same way that Jews in America today blend into the secular American society.
More than a century later, a successor of Alexander, Antiochus IV was in control of the region. He began to oppress the Jews severely, placing a Hellenistic priest in the Temple, massacring Jews, prohibiting the practice of the Jewish religion, and desecrating the Temple by requiring the sacrifice of pigs (a non-kosher animal) on the altar. Two groups opposed Antiochus: a basically nationalistic group led by Mattathias the Hasmonean and his son Judah Maccabee, and a religious traditionalist group known as the Chasidim, the forerunners of the Pharisees (no direct connection to the modern movement known as Chasidism). They joined forces in a revolt against both the assimilation of the Hellenistic Jews and oppression by the Seleucid Greek government. The revolution succeeded and the Temple was rededicated.
According to tradition as recorded in the Talmud, at the time of the rededication, there was very little oil left that had not been defiled by the Greeks. Oil was needed for the menorah (candelabrum) in the Temple, which was supposed to burn throughout the night every night. There was only enough oil to burn for one day, yet miraculously, it burned for eight days, the time needed to prepare a fresh supply of oil for the menorah. An eight day festival was declared to commemorate this miracle. Note that the holiday commemorates the miracle of the oil, not the military victory: Jews do not glorify war.

So, with the tradition of Thanksgiving and the celebration of Chanukah both falling together, I would ask my fellow WHDers one simple question. Do we stand as Judah Maccabee, and begin the long fight against the pagans that have desecrated the White House and Congress? Or do we simply simply go shopping on Black Friday, and hope that others will pick up the hammer, and tear down the walls.

    1. Thank you for that info.

I protested the War (VietNam), worked the polls, campaigned for this one and that one, voted every year, paid my taxes honestly and now I’m tired. All I have left is my voice and my words that seems to fall on the deaf ears of others I care about
Sometimes I fear that the population has become like the Brits who stood on the street and watched the crazed Muslim behead the young soldier without making a single move to help. One lone brave woman tried to do something, but they didn’t help her either.
Oh, they called for the authorities, but they had to find some firearms before they could approach the killer who was armed with a knife. Is that what we are now, I don’t know.
Anyway, If I could, I would be out there one last time.

      1. A true Patriot never gets tired of supporting the Country.
I enlisted in the Air Force, I was not drafted.
The example that you gave above is exemplary of a socialistic society.
Go out there one last time and vote to eliminate the totalitarian regime’s power that is in place now.

    2. “So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land…” Ezekiel 22:30 NKJV
The following verse continues to say God could not find that man and so, He “poured out His indignation on them…” (Ezekiel 22:31)
I pray that this time, God finds that man among our people…I pray it with all my heart.
Happy Thanksgiving to one and all. Shofar, thank you for sharing the story of the miracle of the oil. May God bless you.

  8. Greedy soulless grifters — Mooch, Barry and their merry little of grifter wanna bes. Every democrat is responsible for this national nightmare.

        1. I can’t believe some of the ROE imposed on our troops. There was another report on Weasel Zippers this morning about the ROE – a helicopter in Afghanistan was shot down and our troops weren’t allowed to return fire.

      1. I tried to post this comment this morning, it did not appear.
All the democrats are people blind to ALL THE ISSUES,, should look their children in the eye and say I think taking away your freedom is dandy. Then a piece of paper and save it for them, so they can read again once they are adults.
As far as the people in polotics, they may think ALL OF THE ISSUES will not effect them. They all have distant family members they do not support. They have friends as well they do not support. What are they going to tell them down the road?

        1. Don’t feel bad. About half of my posts get through these days. Don’t know why. I clean up the swearing, check the spelling, do a once over on the grammar, make sure my internet bill is paid up, wear a tie and nice shirt, wash my hands. Tis a great mystery. ;+}

          1. If you’re getting the ‘posting too fast’ response, all you have to do is hit the reply button again. Your comment will come up again and then you can hit submit again.

    1. It’s really hard to be PC today. So many words or phrases are now considered racist or homophobe or whatever. So many special snowflakes that can’t be offended.
White sales, black holes, white bread, black clouds, ………

  9. Not many people have the sheer unadulterated gall to pretend to be asking people to “share what you are thankful for” when they really mean to “share what little wealth we’ve left you.”

As they say, class tells. And this pair has none.

In any case, Keith, Happy Thanksgivukah! Last one for 77,000 years!

  10. Working for change? They prefer dollars, huge piles of dollars. Checks are nice, too. Change? You can keep the change! MO&BO want bucks!

  11. When I lived on the Oregon coast, there was one anonymous person in town who bought a Thanksgiving turkey for every family if they couldn’t afford one. I just put this up because I am so disgusted by Michelle Obama asking us to turn our money over to her and her grifter husband, and I wanted to remind myself that there are people who truly give from themselves without recognition. What a contrast.

Also, in the New Testament there are words for people who have to advertise themselves–MO doesn’t even fit in this category because she is asking, not giving. And I’m sure there are examples in the Hebrew Bible. I remember Keith’s wonderful post on the lesson he learned in Hebrew school about doing good in secret.

    1. We had a secret Santa in KC who gave out $100 during the
Christmas season sadly he passed but someone else took his
place. Can you see Michelle give anyone anything out of kindness? Nice example she really gets me very peeved.

  12. How does she find the time after being on the cover of Ladies Home
Journal in a shining gold frock sleeveless of course. She was sharing
what was on her music list for the holidays meaning squeezing a
Hawaiian vacation out of taxpayers who are truly struggling to find
health insurance her husband screwed them out of and that’s there
Christmas. Yes Michelle Americans by the millions will be thinking of
you and Barack as they forgo Thanksgiving and Christmas to save for
their new insurance. Yes Barack will be on our minds. Aloha and WikiWiki!

    1. Was that the picture where she sat angled in the chair, like she really needed to use the restroom? She looked so skinny, that photo had to be photoshopped.

      1. Yes she was photo shopped within an inch of her life. Go to the
site Mrs O and read the comments. You’ll understand how stupid
so many voters were to elect these grifters twice! She’s just so georgeous:-( Nauseating.

    2. I saw an except of the article on line. MrsO claimed she lived in a tiny apartment growing up. I don’t believe that is what I’ve read before. I thought she had a very typical upbringing in a house.

    1. There’s a picture of her at recent secret big fancy dinner in a
black custom halter top gown so not only do we get the big guns
toned and ready but those linebacker shoulders. When will these
people go away. Honestly she annoys me more than he does.
I’d like to find some accurate numbers on how much her No Fat
Kid lunch program has cost. Most the kids just trash bet a homeless person or a struggling family wouldn’t throw away good

      1. I cancelled my Ladies’ Home Journal the very first time they put her on the cover. As I recall, it was the first time they had put a person on the cover. Glad I am not missing anything. I cancelled my subscription to Southern Living this week. I have had that subscription for 23 years, since I first got married. They had an article in the November issue on how the “Affordable Care Act” will be wonderful for so many. I couldn’t believe it. I refuse to support these magazines with my money any more. I know, they don’t care, but it made me feel a little better.

  13. “Me? Uhh, they got the wrong guy.” — Maybe they assume that as a respected member of the media you must have been working on their side from the beginning.

    1. Did you see the whole film on bringing up O-care at dinner? It was some “wit’s” idea of what a young many would fantasize about how bad the news would be from his parents. They joined a cult…etc–then when they say we love you even without insurance (duh), he is so relieved. The kid looks under 26–keep paying for him, parental units! I like to write bits–but this was pathetic! Just plain pathetic.

    2. Mr. Boehner, bless his heart, would take the rope away from anyone trying to hang themselves, be they Mother Theresa or Chairman Mao.

Speaker Boehner, The People voted for socialized medicine, so by God, let them have it, good and hard.

Because THAT, Mister Speaker, is the only way you’ll ever get the votes for repeal anytime soon. The People needs to be screaming, at the top of their lungs, in unrelenting pain, and that won’t happen if you slow-walk this disaster.

I hate to advise inflicting pain on the citizenry. It runs counter to every Truth I know. But at this point, the only way you’ll keep the frog of liberty from being boiled alive by the ever-warming waters of despotism, is to turn the heat up, hard and fast, and get that frog to jump for its life.

The People need to suffer, Mister Speaker. It pains me to write that, but I see no other way.

      1. Not to worry, the more the Repubs call for delay, the more MrO and the rest of the idiots dig in.
All they had to do was call SenCruz’s bluff, cut some major deal on the budget and all this wouldn’t be happening, butt noooooo, they can’t let the Repubs “win”.

A business would have made a recall, ditched the plan, fired everyone involved, and moved on. Oh. There’s a good “move on”, ditch the current ACA and start over.

      2. They will go under and accept it. Clever people with some money will make deals — there will be medical treatment tiers. But what is left of the middle class will not stand up. Maybe if there was a conservative leader they might.

But the corruption and thuggery of this administration extends through and beyond Obamacare. Over at PJM there is a piece about state Medicaid ops –you put in your name and contact info — they send you a voter registration card. Sign up. Does not matter who you are — no verification. It’s going to be a long slide down.

      3. I agree with you, but now I am worried that with the filibuster done away with Obama will stack the courts in favor of Obamacare.

    3. I’d like to write to him and ask who is standing up for the American people, what used to be known as the middle class. It’s nice that he’s commenting on small business, but there is no one who speaks up for us. We will be left holding the bag all by ourselves.

  14. I have friend that works on senate staff. He tells me that plouffe, axelrod, and jarret used to call the sheep useful idiots back in 08. They now call the sheep useless idiots. No doubt this is how they feel.
The other chuckle is how obama is an intellect. I worked in hart senate building and I never heard any positive comments about the junior from illinois. He was basically carol mosely braun 2.0. If you don’t know her she was senator from illinois.

    1. Such a camera whore. I had a flash — a few years out of office -Sunset Boulevard — Barryanna Obama as Norma Desmond — slithering down the staircase — all limp wristed and delusional — I ‘ m ready for my close up Amerika.

        1. Survival technique. They are everywhere — ran out to the store and had to turn off the radio — so many government ads! My God you ‘d think we never had a civil war or a civil rights movement. Get home – flip on Megan K for a minute and that black pipsqueak socialist Prof or whoever is screaming about how paying unions to protest Walmart is about labor — not unions. Workers Unite. That guy never worked a day of manual labor in his life is my bet.

So yeah sometimes I also have an image of ratso Jarrett peering out of her office door – opening her mouth – and a rage of dragon fire spews from her yaw straight down the corridor.

  15. “Barack and I have so much to be grateful for this Thanksgiving, and that includes people like you who’ve been by our side, working for change right from the beginning.”

Oh, just shut the fuck up. bitch.

  16. Pingback: Must Know Headlines —

  17. So, we give thanks to the LIberal God, hailed by Oprah as “The One,” by taking time from eating and fighting over whether or not Obamacare is a debacle — taking time to glorify The One and The WIfe with yet more money given to the Pharisees aka the Democratic Party.

Next, asking women and men to sell themselves for sex and donate the money earned to the Dems.

  18. Hello would you mind stating which blog platform you’re working with?
I’m looking to start my own blog in the near future but I’m having a
tough time selecting between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal.
The reason I ask is because your design and style seems different then most blogs and I’m looking for something unique.
P.S Sorry for getting off-topic but I had to ask!
