In the history of mankind, many republics have risen, have flourished for a less or greater time, and then have fallen because their citizens lost the power of governing themselves and thereby of governing their state. TR

  1. Best case scenario – only 20% won’t be able to sign up for Ocare by December 1. Another day, another percentage. Reminds me of the ‘sliver of Americans’ who would loose their insurance.

Too early for me and math, but doesn’t that leave hundreds of thousands without insurance in December?

    1. Something I posted in the Open Thread yesterday:

The Obama administration will consider the new federal insurance marketplace a success if 80 percent of users can buy health-care plans online, according to government and industry officials familiar with the project.

The goal for how many people should be able to make it through the insurance exchange is an internal target that administration officials have not made public. It acknowledges that as many as one in five Americans who try to use the Web site to buy insurance will be unable to do so.

      1. Thanks Mandy. I went back to sleep later in the morning and missed your link. The new and improved 20% – kinda like driving without a spare tire on spikes.

  2. Instead of starting his day at job at 10:15, he should start earlier and review ALL the plans that were cancelled. They are not a stack of papers like his terrible health plan, they are individuals. He also could have caught up on this issue this weekend, instead of going to a Party, and playing golf. Their are millions of americans that have to give up FUN things to work. As far as Congress they as well should have been working the whole weekend to repeal this mess.Than the Congress can at least take turn working overtime this week to look into all the other TERRIBLE scandels, instead of those files sitting on a shelf.

  3. Over the course of the last 4 years have any of Obama’s senior advisors ever ‘advised’ him to knock off the lies? Ask a silly question and you will get a silly answer…I know, I know.

    1. Once a liar, always a liar, Girly1. Besides, it wouldn’t do any good. The supercilious ValJar would just fire the offending advisor and replace him/her with a more compliant sycophant.
