In the history of mankind, many republics have risen, have flourished for a less or greater time, and then have fallen because their citizens lost the power of governing themselves and thereby of governing their state. TR

  1. October 23, 2013 – After Jay Carney’s Press Briefing the PM

    The President entered stage left to the roaring sound of applause from his adoring media and steped to the podium.

    “I just found out yesterday on ESPN that there are some problems with the rollout of the ACA website. Valerie Jarrett told me just this morning, that she found out yesterday, that it may take a year or longer for HHS to fix this so that it has any semblance of functionality. Ms. Jarrett also told me that she just found out this morning, that using the phone, paper applications and navigators will not produce sufficient enrollees to make the ACA viable.

    Therefore, I personally have decided to delay the individual mandate until this problem has been resolved, not for a year, as the Tea Party extremists had been asking for, because that was something I wasn’t willing to compromise on.

    Certainly, everyone knows, that the terrorists in the Republican Party were just trying to make me look bad, it’s personal to them — that’s why I refused to negotiate and why I feel that a very short government shutdown was necessary.

    Just think what would have happened if I had accepted their unreasonable demand for a one year delay and we later found out on NBC, CBS, ABC, CNN, MSNBC, Al Jazzera or ESPN that it was going to take two years to fix the problems? I would have looked like a real doofus and that is what the KKK branch of the Republican Party was hoping for.

    That’s why the Republicans, the Tea Party and the KKK wanted me to agree to only a one year delay and I just will not admit that I or any member of my administration have now or in the past or ever will in the future admit to making a mistake.

    It’s the right thing… TO DO!

    And finally, ‘What difference, at this point, does it make?’ (The President at this point, stomped his feet and pounded his fists on the podium, emphatically.)”

    The President stated that he was not going take questions and exited stage left to the roaring sound of applause from his adoring media.

    A note from our attorneys: The President really did not appear at the press briefing.

    1. ! I wish I had seen the last sentence first because I was sitting here, reading, with steam coming out of my nostrils and ears.
      But it’s a jest very very close to the truth.

  2. OMG he just pulled out the “single mom who’s also a breast cancer survivor” as the reason not to delay the individual mandate for the millions of REAL people getting hurt by this monstrosity!
    Baghdad Bob was Edward R Murrow compared to this lying sack of $h.t.

      The stumble bum, moron is delusional, to say the least. His sycophant
      audience are as dumb as he is. We’re led, so to speak, by a political lightweight. Makes my rear end want to take a dip of snuff.

      Semper Fi

  3. Amazing. The answer to almost every question about Obamacare is a lie.

    We don’t know how many have enrolled.
    It’s customary not to release early figures on these types of projects
    Usually, very few people sign up early in the program

  4. Right now, the screen is displaying a slide stating;

    “Next up;
    7:50 PM ET

    Vice President Biden Speaks at the
    Kennedy Forum Community Mental
    Health Gala”

    Oh, the number of possibilites with THAT little statement! Since it’s technically OT, though, I will content myself with saying that a “Community Mental Health Gala” kinda sounds like a rather encompassing descriptive for The White House staff, management, and way they run the place…

    Also, that using “Biden” and “Mental Health” in the same sentence is a little oxymoronic. Having Biden speak on Mental Health is like having Obama speak on compromise…
