In the history of mankind, many republics have risen, have flourished for a less or greater time, and then have fallen because their citizens lost the power of governing themselves and thereby of governing their state. TR

Quote of the Day

“Mr. President, the problem is, the website was designed by a group of bus drivers attempting to use computers. You see, the Craigslist ad had a typo, and it said we needed people who were “good with commuters.”

– Kathleen Sebelius

A note from our attorneys: This is not a real quote

Okay, sorry about that one.

  1. I would rather take my chance with bus drivers than with these corrupt idiots. A few independent insurance brokers were within a week able to put up websites that mimic the government website with one crucial exception: The broker websites actually work.

Amazing, isn’t it? An insurance broker working for commissions puts up their own money to create a website. Meanwhile, the government spends $300 million of OUR MONEY and totally screws it up.

    1. It cost $634 million to implement this liberty-stealing fiasco, Owen. If the software requires a complete overhaul, it could get real close to becoming a billion dollar behemoth.

  2. 4 years of arrogance. And now he is down to the level where he has to call in every chip he has even to the level of calling Verizon.

America does not deserve this. Obama deserves every humiliating moment.

He cannot manage. He cannot lead. He brought it upon himself.

  3. Sebelius is a vile evil woman I had the displeasure of having her as Gov
of Kansas my beloved red state. She was a friend of Dr Tiller who made
his mark and money on late term abortions. There are several pictures
of them and she always backed him when she was in a position to help
shut him down. Is this the woman the country wants in charge of our
healthcare? I know abortion is a sticky issue but not what he did that
    was murder.

    1. Abortion is only a sticky issue for those who believe in murdering babies. For everyone else it is quite plainly pre-meditated murder and should be treated as such.
I expect the loathsome Sebelius will meet her counterpart in hell one day and they can take lots of pics together…forever.

      1. I believe it to be murder I think life begins at conception. And in
this dreadful time of so little respect for life I’m sure there’s a very
special place for the Tillers and those in power who enable them.

    2. I was born and grew up in Kansas and know absolutely how you feel.

Kathleen “thy name is corruption” doesn’t even try to mask her contempt for the little people anymore.

Unfortunately, the self proclaimed St. Clair on the Missouri side (where I have lived for the past 17 years) isn’t much better.

  4. This gigantic “glitch” or “kink” or whatever they call it is the result of one thing IMO….these people have never actually done any work or management of any kind. They think if they can speak words then all things just happen. They have absolutely no idea how work is accomplished because they have never done a day’s work in their lives in any kind of profit driven business. They simply do not know how to DO anything – their world is composed of people SAYING the right thing at the opportune time. So now, they are looking for a miracle – they can say the world miracle, so it must happen.
    Idiots.
