      • willdit… I am with you. we need all Americans to come and march. we need to do it now. he would not let our troops have fireworks even when a company offered to do it for free and they still said no. he is gross and we need to fight for our country and our soldiers.

  1. Happy Independence Day, everyone. Denise raised an interesting question on the last thread. Did Obama hold an Independence Day celebration for military families yesterday, or does he plan to today?

    • The one thing that bothers me is that it’s for military members and families in the DC area. And at the WH. The USO is a fantastic organization and I have always enjoyed their support of the troops. However I can think of better venues to hold this celebration.

We have all read where military facilities across the US have cancelled their celebrations and fireworks. Meanwhile the WH is closed to the public, and yet they can have Easter and the 4th celebrations, concerts, parties. This is all a photo op. Nothing more.

    • Nope–the military families have served their purpose as photo op props, just like Bo the dog. In the meantime, celebrations and fireworks at military bases have been cancelled and swimming pools that have been utilized by military families have been closed and drained for the season. When is our “royal family” heading off to Martha’s Vineyard for their next vacation?

      • Geeeze, I was sure Prezzzy was making a surprise, unannounced visit to our troops. A visit from our Commander in Chief that would surely help their morale. Some encouragement and support from our current president that would mirror what past Presidents have done before him.
Yesterday I happened to meet a man in military fatigues at the check out line at Petsmart. He had with him, in the shopping cart, a three month old German Shepherd puppy. The puppy was bonding with him before being trained as his assistance dog. The man was truly physically and mentally messed up. He had spent four years at Walter Reed and has more surgeries to go. His mother was assisting him with the dog food purchase. The man told me that the truck he had been driving met with a roadside bomb. Ironic to meet this man the day before the 4th of July.
There simply is nothing we can do to adequately repay our servicemen and women for the privilege of sleeping safely each night. We have so many enemies that would like to kill all of us infidels.

  2. Thank you for this great blog and for all you do, Keith. Reposting this: Happy 4th of July! With all that is going on in the world today, it is good to take a few minutes to remember those 56 men who signed the Declaration of Independence, and what they sacrificed to secure America’s freedom and liberty.

I won’t be listening to Preezy’s remarks on this most important day in America’s history. Any “remarks” made are nothing more than words cooked up by the WH frat boys and read from a teleprompter screen by this America-hating fraud.

    • I second Susan’s appreciation for giving us information from the swamps of DC. We’re also grateful that you allow us a forum to offer advice on how to drain that swamp and make it a park that all Americans can be proud of.

    • MrObama making remarks about the 4th of July without the teleprompter to guide him:

Hey, it’s great to be here at the BigWhite and have a really cool celebration for the military folks that Michelle and I really, really love to pieces.
We use this day to honor the men who recognized that the English were disgusting colonists who terrorized people around the world and deserved the whoopin’ that was coming their way.. These rich slave-owners then wrote a document that was suitable for the times, but doesn’t mean all that much anymore.

Did I mention that Michelle and I really, really, love our military folks and hope they enjoy themselves today. By the way, Michelle wants me to tell everyone that she’s really proud of her country, and that the trip to Africa reminded her of how lucky she is that her ancestors didn’t hide in the bushes when the slave-traders came a-calling.

Michelle and I don’t get all that flag-waving and such, but you folks have a great time. Happy 4th of July.

    • Love the phrase “cooked up by the WH frat boys.”

P.S. I wish BO wouldn’t bother with his “remarks” on OUR Independence Day. I’d like to live in an Obama-Free Country.

  3. Today’s schedule is ideal for our rock star president.

All style, no substance. Gives him and Michelle a chance to glad hand the troops and pose for lots and lots of photos.

And making a big sacrifice for our miltary men and women by staying off the golf course today.

Just keep him away from domenstic and international affairs. Look at what a disaster the past month has been.

  4. Happy 4th of July everyone. I will celebrate this wonderful country by avoiding any contact with the people occupying the White House where Americans are barred.

    • and that includes hearing “the president’s” grating voice reading to us remarks written by speechwriters for the occasion!!

  5. Just watched a special about ‘smart homes’ that are being built for the
severely injured veterans. They are built for their specific needs as some
are missing from one to all limbs also burns and other debilitating things
that make a regular home almost an impossibility to live in now.
The $100 plus vacation and the upcoming Vineyard trip would build a lot
of those homes and who deserves a comfortable home more?

  6. Last week when I saw the South Lawn & White House I gave it ‘the one fingure salute’.
(how can I post that picture? :-)

  7. Freezing gained those buy firefall gold designed for The holidays . i true love these individuals! It’s my job to add a new dimensions 8 nevertheless been required to receive a proportions 1! Document often draw them to work due to my very own narrow age get dressed trousers! Awesome adorable!
