  1. Simmering beneath the surface of the scandal, however, is a political ingredient that some news reports suggest has to do with Mrs. Clinton’s potential ambitions to run for president and with Republican hopes to use Benghazi and other scandals against the former secretary of state.

You betcha’! The GOP wants to damage Clinton so badly that she’ll either not run in 2016 or fare badly.

But, let’s look at the allegations for a minute:

At its core, the document outlines a variety of cases in which high-ranking department officials quashed internal investigations into accusations of sexual assault, drug dealing, solicitation of sexual favors from prostitutes and minors, and other improper activity against American diplomatic personnel overseas.

The State Department has vigorously criticized the memo. Spokeswoman Jennifer Psaki told reporters repeatedly this week that the accusations are “unsubstantiated.”

In one case, the memo states that an agent from the special investigations division had opened a probe into the activities of Howard Gutman, the U.S. ambassador to Belgium, and “determined that the ambassador routinely ditched his protective security detail in order to solicit sexual favors from both prostitutes and minor children.”

Of course they’re unsubstantiated, Psaki! The investigations were stopped by Clinton. This is the same woman who is married to a cheater and a rapist. What does she care about victims of rape and victims of pimps? Clinton and Cheryl Mills are so focused on grabbing power that they will hold their noses and look the other way while women and girls are being mistreated.

This attempted cover-up is yet another example of the Progressive War on Women. Remember Robert Menendez, another Progressive with a penchant for statutory rape? Clinton can’t do anything about him, but she surely could’ve done something about Gutman.

  2. NSA chief: “Dozens” of attacks stopped

He said the surveillance programs were critical to unraveling terrorist plots at home and abroad. In particular, he cited the cases of Najibullah Zazi, an Afghan American who pleaded guilty to planning suicide attacks in New York, and Pakistani American David C. Headley, who was arrested in 2009 for his role in a terrorist attack the year before in Mumbai, and who was plotting to attack a Danish newspaper that published a satirical cartoon of the prophet Muhammad.

Dozens? I read the whole article, and these are the only two cases I saw.

  3. Dempsey testified yesterday that the military was never given an order to stand down, that their orders were to do a job at the Tripoli airport. Huh? How did that help out the people under attack in Benghazi?

  4. Snip of the day via IBD:

“Since October 2011, mosques have been off-limits to FBI agents. No more surveillance or undercover string operations without high-level approval from a special oversight body at the Justice Department dubbed the Sensitive Operations Review Committee.”

Too early to rant. Somewhere in my early morning foggy head are the words: Holder, Boston Marathon, dead, missing limbs.

    • I don’t need a rant, I need two sentences, including this one.

Look, I know this guy wants to try to implicate as many honest Americans as he can in order to let as many Muslims as possible off the hook, but do we have to be REMINDED of it?

  5. “If not, I think we should begin an immediate amicus brief to say, ‘Listen this is simply not fair to these employees,’” Larson told POLITICO. “They are federal employees.”
    – Rep. John Larson (D) Ct.

    “Well, aren’t you special?”
    Dana Carvey/Church Lady

    • I saw that too, as if they’re some sort of protected class of people. Instead of complaining about losing all of their employees, why don’t they just get rid of Obamacare once and for all?

  6. Every time someone from the Obama administration is asked questions (under oath or not under oath!) they all say they don’t know the answer? Who are they kidding. They don’t know because Obama told them not to answer! Does anyone believe otherwise? All these scandals, IRS, Benghazi, State Department, White House, etc., etc., etc., is all Obama’s doing. OBAMA IS LAUGHING AT ALL OF US AMERICANS BEHIND OUR BACK. He is enjoying his Presidency. From what it appears, Obama enjoys humiliating people (Bush and other Republicans) and loves nothing more than punishing people that disagree with him, just like a child (Conservatives).I hope and pray that one day he pays for his impeachable crimes against America.
