  1. Also, floating around somewhere — most likely WSJ– is an excellent article on the IRS scandal by Peggy Noonan — who always befuddles me. Mew, mew, mew, Boom, mew, mew, Boom.

  2. “Boehner: House won’t pass immigration bill”

That phrase is not exactly accurate. Boehner wants to create his own legacy. He has his own gang of eight in the House. His gang is writing their own amnesty bill behind closed doors – something Boehner promised he would never do – that basically mirrors the one in the Senate. If his tenure as Speaker of the House has left one legacy, it is that his promises are worth about as much as that oath he took to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.

  3. I agree with the Republicans’ wariness to obtain special prosecutors for any of the three scandals. Most of the public is not aware that special prosecutors are not the independent counsels of Watergate days but are selected by the administration itself.

This means that John Boehner needs to get off his duff fast and appoint special select committees where the investigating will be done by the chickens themselves and not by a fox appointed to guard the henhouse.
