  1. Anthelme Brillat-Savarin wrote, in Physiologie du Gout, ou Meditations de Gastronomie Transcendante, 1826:

“Dis-moi ce que tu manges, je te dirai ce que tu es.” [Tell me what you eat and I will tell you what you are].

In an essay titled Concerning Spiritualism and Materialism, 1863/4, Ludwig Andreas Feuerbach wrote:

“Der Mensch ist, was er ißt.”

That translates into English as ‘man is what he eats’.

He may not be Swedish, but the other is subject to debate!

    1. Thought he said at one point (before I stopped paying attention to him) that his mom was Sicilian – wouldn’t he be eating Italian meatballs versus Swedish?

Anyway, who cares – Chris Christie is dead to me….

        1. I think that is what I thought. My Swedish ancestors would know, but my Swedish is no better than my Gaelic. Es tut mir leid!

          1. Oh, you have Swedish ancestors , rawheadrex. Star is another “fellowcitizen” here, well, she has Norwegian roots but……still.
