  1. BHO has no business even in the shadow of this, or any, Cathedral. He regularly abuses the privileges that accompany the office. He is the cross productive Americans bear.

  2. Once again the Obama administration celebrates occasions and holidays whenever it suits them; Greek Independence Day was on March 25th.

Or, it could be a pre-celebration of 2014’s Greek Independence Day.

They might be on to something that would fit in with the draconian slashing of federal budgets by combining 4 or 5 different holidays at one time; i.e. “the Arab Spring/ Kwanzaa/ Passover/ 4th of July picnic”
I need some time to work out the details.

  3. SO? where’s that unscheduled meeting with the Saudi Foreign Minister…?

  4. I feel sorry for the Boston cops.
I hope they cover the Crucifix for the o’s appearance at a Catholic site.
Need I remind y’all of (Jesuit) Georgetown?

  5. If he speaks today, I really hope his remarks focus on the people affected in Boston. Obama’s speechwriters always tend to try to wrap every single event into a sweeping, generalized, “we’re all going through the same thing” type comment by dragging in other events. It just cheapens the overall sentiment. (If he can manage to sound emotional at all – hope they load the emotional cues onto TOTUS).

  6. “5:30 pm || Hosts a reception for Greek Independence Day; East Room”

Is this meant to be irony? Obama – of all people – recognizing an “independance” day? For ANYBODY?

Or is he just adding them to the list. For later…

We should have our own new celebration now. Dependance Day. First one was Jan. 20th, 2009.

I sure wish I knew when the LAST one would be…

  7. I don’t think our Third World President really understands the pride Americans feel singing the National Anthem. Are these the words of the bully colonialists.
