Taxpayers will be sending President Obama on his second vacation of the year when he departs Friday aboard Air Force One for a Presidents’ Day Weekend excursion to West Palm Beach, Florida.
Without apparent irony, Obama has decided to jet to a well-trod stomping ground of the rich just days after presenting himself to the nation in his State of the Union speech as the guardian of the middle class.
Obama presumably will head directly to some fabulous golf course, having not been able to play in recent weeks because of the cold weather in Washington.
While Obama may pay some hotel and other miscellaneous costs related to his vacation travel, taxpayers are on the hook for much of the expense, shelling out for the president’s travel aboard Air Force One, a cargo plane that carries supplies, and the cost of the president’s substantial staff and security retinue.
While unemployment stands at nearly eight percent, Obama is taking his second vacation of 2013. The year is only six weeks old.
Obama initially traveled to Hawaii in late December. He returned after a several days to work on a fiscal cliff deal, and then went back for several more days in early January after signing a bill. So this will also be the third time in less than two months that taxpayers have footed the bill for a round-trip Obama vacation.
It’s not clear if Michelle is going with him – the White House announcement of Obama’s plans doesn’t mention her. She usually goes skiing in the Rockies around this point in the year.

Give the guy a break its only fair and equitable for him to go golfing with the ultra rich whom he deplores whilst Michelle goes skiing in Vail with the ultra rich whom she finds nauseating! Well, googling recent presidents and vacations, Obama has taken less vacation days than both Reagan and Dubya. (Well, OK, no one has taken more days off than Dubya.) Anyway, Bill Clinton took the least, with Jimmy Carter a close second. And from what I’m seeing is that perhaps the objections to the Obamas’ vacations are the hugeness of them, not to mention their destinations. At least, presidents who returned to their “homes” saved the taxpayers a bit of money. Next time I vote for a president, I’m going to check out his ranch, his farm, his “estate,” or his family “compound.” If he doesn’t have a “home” where he’s going to spend at least some vacation time and save me money, then forget it.
I wouldn’t mind a vacation for any president, if said president actually did some work to deserve the time off on the taxpayer’s dime. But when our citizens are out of work and just want some money to pay their heating bills and for their food, it kind of rubs the wrong way. He should go back to his hometown and spend his vacation there, kenya is looking for their village idiot, after all.
Wonder why bho and mo have never taken a vacation along the Gulf Coast. Seems as if that would give a boost to the area affected by the oil spill.

MARCH 1st deadline means nothing to him. Just like Benzazzi. JayZ, and the stars are his first priority. How about working at getting thing done instead of just repeating over and over the same talking points, ie. Fair share, balanced approach, middle class (the inner city poor), millionaires and billionaires. How about coming up with a budget, and not things you like to do and get things done. Vaction is the only thing he is good at. When he is on vacation on Our Money he is least harmful to all of us. Why in the wide wide world would anyone believe this lier? Obama has lied about everything he has said to the American people. He is not telling the truth about his intentions or why he is manipulating our constitutional rights . He has lied to you the people with his every word. Some of the many examples would be: Taxes, Obama Care, Begazzi, the Economy, spending our money, job creation, helping the middle class, protecting this countries borders and a thousand more. Hell, this Flim Flam man makes snake oil salesmen look like saints. He has spent hundreds of thousands of dollars to keep us the people from seeing his tax records, his college transcripts or other vetting information we expect from any other elected goverment offical. Why does half the population give him a “No Responsibility” pass on all his actions or inactions? So he is taking another extravagant vacation on our money in times of desperate financial hardship.
Is that the responsible thing to do?

I challenge this do nothing lier to stand up and be honest
if he is capable of telling the truth and doing the right thing.

I as an American citizen am appalled. I am looking for work, no jobs in my area, cannot afford to move to another area and here he is jetting off for another vacation?? When did he actually start doing the job that taxpayers are paying him to do? I have seen nothing from this president that shows any moral fiber of being in working for the middle class. I pray that God will give him the climate vacation of a lifetime that he will never forget!!!
