As of now, I am in control here, in the White House

Is There an Obama Donor Scandal??

That’s what some people around Washington are wondering following a story last week by veteran reporter Paul Bedard of the Washington Examiner that “a national magazine and a national web site are preparing “a blockbuster donor scandal story” and that the White House has been trying to squash the piece.

According to Bedard:

According to the sources, a taxpayer watchdog group conducted a nine-month investigation into presidential and congressional fundraising and has uncovered thousands of cases of credit card solicitations and donations to Obama and Capitol Hill, allegedly from unsecure accounts, and many from overseas. That might be a violation of federal election laws.

Bedard said the story could be published Monday.

  1. Is there any reason why we should not consider this possibility? The Obama administration will do everything it can legally do to guarantee his re-election and if it appears the effort may fail, will turn to illegal activity.

  2. If the story is outlined, explained and documented Monday, Tuesday we will hear …………….crickets………………from the MSM, the Obama campaign and Congress.

    • Ah, yes. There was a brief flurry about the pre-paid credit cards being used for small donations. They don’t call them no-name cards for nothing; they’re just like ‘burn’ cell phones.

  3. This is Chicago politics at work. No checks to see the origin of the donors is the same as in the last election. Romney needs to have this investigated, confirmed and brought to light. Nothing surprises me anymore about the scoundrels.

  4. It was amply demonstrated in 2008 that the Obama campaign had disabled the credit card security function, and it had to be done deliberately. I’ve read that the campaign would have had to pay an additional cost to have that done.

Obama quite deliberately invited fraudulent campaign donations — just as he got the nomination by fraud and intimidation in the caucuses. He comes from the “by any means necessary” school of politics.

  5. We know they do it, the question is “overwhelming documentation of wrong doing” must be found and proven. Or it will be a non story with MSM.

  6. The left can’t win an election on the battleground of ideas, so they lie, cheat, and steal. Then they try to hide their thievery from exposure to the populous.

Obama knows if he tells his clapping seals the truth, they will never go along with his plans. The left plays on the fears and emotions of people. They break us all down into convenient boxes…the white people go over there, the minorities go in that box, the disabled and elderly go in another box, and the children go in opposite box where they are immersed in the propaganda of the left through the education system. Obama has played to all those different boxes – promising them unicorns and rainbows if only they give him another chance. We can’t afford another four years of his utopian ideas. He has not fulfilled any of the promises he made four years ago — the federal government is even less transparent if that is possible, and the crony capitalism has increased ten-fold. Our federal government has worked against the American people rather than for us, by tying the hands of governors while our Southern borders are invaded, to the appeasement of radical Islamists and lax security for our representatives abroad that has resulted in greater hatred and disrespect for America, mayhem, and death.

Every day I say a prayer for this country’s salvation, and try to open the eyes of those who have fallen under the spell of this false idol. I don’t look at Romney as America’s savior, there is only one savior in my life. He is a representative of the American ideal, someone who can help us do the hard work of getting back on the right track and restoring constitutional principles and good old fashioned American values. In 30 short days the path America decides to take will be revealed…

    • Susan, they have intentionally rolodexed us into either this or that. It’s the divide and conquer approach. Reminds me of the gang warfare in Ca. between the “Bloods and the “Crypts” – in the end they both lost.

Might as well call it, the worst musical ever written: West Wing Story.

  7. This story like all the others in and around Obama have us focusing on him. He is the puppet, who has been trained to perform and conform to the prescribed agenda. The administration is rife with scandals that stink to high hell – the MSM and many politicians on both sides of the aisle have been using an arsenol of “Frebreeze” to mask the stench. When Joe Wilson called out, “you’re a liar” – he was rebuked by both houses. WHY? We’ve been told by Janet Napolitiano dozens of times “see something, say something”. Wilson saw something, said something and was just about tarred and feathered for it.

He should have been awarded a MEDAL.

Peter King was being interviewed the other day and “refused” to say, *we were lied to* regarding the consulate in Benghazi. They’re all playing semantics and optics.

Lt. Col. Allen West speaks ……

“My statement to the United Nations would have been, “The future does not belong to those who attack our Embassies and Consulates and kill our Ambassadors. The Angel of Death in the form of an American Bald Eagle will visit you and wreak havoc and destruction upon your existence”

…..and when and where did you hear an “AMEN” from conservatives?

I don’t like Obama. I don’t like the agenda. I don’t like the fact that he is not alone in juggling the books and facts by himself. Obama may well go the way of Carter (hopefully) but it’s the agenda creators who will remain behind. It’s the spinners behind the curtain and closed doors, who we don’t see, who are not being interviewed on the networks that we need to be very wary of.

Sorry for the long rant. Just had to say it.

    • You are absolutely correct, Sadie. The administrative state will continue on regardless who wins the election. Their ranks continue to swell with each passing day. Nowadays, the only place where unemployment is at 4.3% is in government service. Unfortunately, the regulations the governmental alphabet agencies toss out like confetti have the same effect as laws voted on by our legislators. They are another aspect of the leviathan that needs taming.

Thankfully, we have a cadre of brave and principled conservatives like Allen West and Michele Bachmann who are helping to lead the way to reforming government. If conservatism wins the day, they will have a lot more reinforcements in Congress to help effect those reforms.

      • Susan, you are correct that we do have the voices of West and Bachmann, but they are minimalized and diminshed by the lack of support from their own party. My deep-down disappointment and concern is that the loudest voices are not in Washington – they’re everywhere but.

        • Depressing to see how alone the constitutional conservatives under Senator DeMint are. Many of the names on the list I expected, especially Texas’ own so-called conservatives, Kay Bailey Hutchison and John Cornyn. The disappointing names to see were Marco Rubio and Pat Toomey. That is why it is so important not to forget about the senate races. They are critical in order to repeal Obamacare. The establishment Republicans don’t care if they lose the senate…they are comfortable in the status quo. I’ve even donated to Missouri’s Todd Aiken campaign through Senator DeMint’s Senate Conservatives Fund because we have to win control of the Senate.

          • Sharp eyes, Susan.
You’re spot on about the importance of electing the right senators and congress-critters, too. Every election from local to federal has importance. I specifically donated to West’s campagin even with my very tight budget. I don’t know how many voters are paying attention as to “how they vote”. I would have thought that the 2010 elections would have been a bolt of lightning and a wake-up call for conservatives – I have more than doubts after perusing the list. Term limits are a necessity, even with the best of them. There will always be another good guy/gal to replace the effective reps.

    • Very good, Sadie. I wish I had written this. It is so true that the RINOS
and the republicans are way too timid. Hopefully, the Tea Party groups will not go away. Thank goodness for people like Allen West and Michele Bachmann.

  8. Of course there’s a donor scandal. All of the current administration belong behid bars. After Mitt wins, the prosecutions will begin. God help us.

    • Why does an incumbent President need so many contributions? If he had been doing his job, he wouldn’t need a dime from any of his poor wealthy donors.

      • He gets to keep the interest from the campaign fund. So the more fund there is, the more interest he gets to keep. Pure self-interest, as usual.

        • All incumbents, including Presidents, can donate an unlimited amount of leftover campaign funds to a charity or political party. They cannot use it for personal expenses per the Ethics Reform Act of 1989.

There is no doubt in my mind that from Day One, Obama has been campaigning his fanny off to fund his lifetime pension. He will set up a gazillion ‘charities’ and pay himself and every member of his tribe a humungous salary. Most Presidents end up with a campaign deficit – not Obama. He has outraised every President in world history, and will spend the rest of his life living off his ill-gotten gains.

  9. Considering the MSM we’ll never know. I would imagine they are using every
dirty trick in the book in fact they could probably write a new one!

  10. Not that I doubt that there is something going on,but whenever there is a “headsup” for some sort of scandal,it usually doesn’t amount too much. If its so damning, why wait ?Why give these teasers? Just get it out there. My guess is there is something to it all,but not alot of proof.

  11. How many scandals are there already, and nothing happens? Any other President would have been booted out of office by now, it makes me sick. Iwon’t bother listing them, I don’t want to make myself toss before the Pats game.

  12. You won’t hear a word of this from the main stream media.

And the Obama campaign will accuse Romney of planting this to distract voters from the fact that he didn’t release all of his tax returns.

The worst part is that most Americans will buy it!

  13. Quote of the day – FOX news: “Hugo Chavez used State-controlled TV to put himself on TV for hours at a time, used Billions of dollars in State-controlled oil money to give away pensions and houses to buy votes.”

    Sound familiar?

    • It’s worth reading the preface here – Apologies for the long cut and paste, but it’s a MUST READ and MUST PROSECUTE!

Breitbart News obtained an advance copy of the bombshell report which reveals that the website is not owned by the president’s campaign but rather by Obama bundler Robert Roche, a U.S. citizen living in Shanghai, China. Roche is the chairman of a Chinese infomercial company, Acorn International, with ties to state-controlled banks that allow it to “gain revenue through credit card transactions with Chinese banks.”
      There’s more.
The unusual website redirects traffic directly to a donation page on the Obama campaign’s official website,, which does not require donors tob enter their credit card security code (known as the CVV code), thereby increasing the likelihood of foreign or fraudulent donations. The website is managed by a small web development firm, Wicked Global, in Maine. One of Wicked Global’s employees, Greg Dorr, lists on his LinkedIn page his additional employment with Peace Action Maine and Maine Voices for Palestinian Rights. According to the GAI report, 68 percent of all Internet traffic to comes from foreign visitors.
      And still more.
In 2011, Mr. Roche obtained one of the most sought-after pieces of real estate in Washington, DC: a seat at the head table for President Obama’s State Dinner for Chinese President Hu Jintao. How Roche—a man whose infomercial company hawks fitness equipment, cell phones, and breast enhancement products—landed a seat alongside Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, former President Bill Clinton, Sen. John Kerry, former President Jimmy Carter, and Chinese President Hu Jintao remains unclear.
Since 2009, White House Visitor Logs list the name Robert Roche at least 19 times, despite the fact Mr. Roche’s primary residence is in China.
Mr. Roche, who is originally from Chicago, is a co-chair of the Technology Initiative for the Obama campaign.
According to Acorn International’s prospectus, the success of Mr. Roche’s company hinges on maintaining access to state-run media and “preferential tax treatments and subsidies” doled out by the People’s Republic of China (PRC):
Our business depends on our access to TV media time to market our products and services in China….PRC law is vague and is subject to discretionary interpretation and enforcement by PRC authorities…Loss of these preferential tax treatments and subsidies could have material and adverse effects on our results of operations and financial conditions.
In addition to the redirect revelation, the Government Accountability Institute report—America the Vulnerable: Are Foreign And Fraudulent Online Contributions Influencing U.S. Elections?—exposes myriad gaping online security holes that stand to threaten the integrity of House, Senate, and presidential elections.
