How to Monitor the Supreme Court This Week

UPDATE: Obamacare decision will not be announced today.

I wanted to make you aware of a great resource that’s also a lot of fun.

Most of you are keenly interested in the Supreme Court ruling on Obamacare, which will be out this week. Here’s a way to find out what the ruling is immediately after it comes down.

At 10:00 am ET every morning through Thursday, the Supreme Court will begin announcing the latest batch of its decisions. The website Scotusblog will be live blogging from the Court every day starting at around 9 am.

Bit by bit, the website conveys to you the handful of decisions that are released piecemeal each morning. I have to tell you, I tuned in last Thursday and couldn’t turn away as I watched to see if the Obamacare decision was next.

Here the link to the blog. Have fun!

  1. I hope SCOTUS coordinates the Obamacare decision announcement with the calendar of POTUS. If they mess up any fund raisers for him, they will feel his wrath!

  2. Thank you Keith. Monitored the blog last Thursday too. Bloggers were astonished at the number of people watching. Bet there will be twice as many viewers this time around…

    • I was on the SCOTUS blog last week Thursday too, and I’m there right now. You get the info there before it’s reported anywhere else.

I predict a decision on Arizona today and on Obamacare on Thursday. But, I sure would love the Obamacare decision today while King Barack Kardashian is off fundraising.

  3. Thanks for the link.
Someone compared the passage of this law to a political earthquake that caused a political tsunami that wiped out a Dem stronghold on Congress. What remains to be seen is if the withdrawal of this legal tsunami will sweep the rest of the Dems out to sea.

So much depends on the final decision by the Supremes. If it goes the way some of us have prayed for, we’re spiking the football, we’re doing victory laps, we’re in your face Dems, because we deserve to claim a victory.

  4. Thanks Keith.
For added drama, SCOTUS should send up smoke signals from the Supreme Court Building – white smoke for “YES”, black smoke for “NO”. Obama has been blowing smoke up our posteriors for nearly four years now – it would be ‘poetic justice’!

  5. No announcement today? Figures! It will come late Thursday afternoon – the closest the Court can get to a Friday afternoon ‘dump’!
