    • I assume that’s supposed to be 10:30am. You know, that’s the usual start time for BHO. He should get his butt to work about two, if not three hours earlier than that. Millions of Americans manage to do so, even with long commutes and much longer days than this PO(tu)S has.

      • Ha, Keith! I think 9:30am is his “early” start time and it happens infrequently, only when he has to. His days start at 10 or 10:30am far more frequently than 9:30. I’ve also noticed that BHO rarely starts early on Monday mornings, or the day after a long holiday weekend.

  1. 3:25 pm || Honors Medal of Freedom recipients; East Room

    More info about the honorees:

Dolores Huerta, a noted labor leader, civil rights activist, and co-founder of the National Farmworkers Association with Cesar Chavez, will be honored by President Obama next week at the White House with the nation’s highest civilian laud, the Presidential Medal of Freedom. Huerta and twelve other recipients are being recognized for their “especially meritorious contributions to the security or national interests of the United States, to world peace, or to cultural or other significant public or private endeavors.”

President Obama will award the medal to thirteen honorees, including Israel’s President Shimon Peres, former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, astronaut John Glenn, music legend Bob Dylan, and author Toni Morrison on Tuesday, May 29th.

    • My aunt had to work with Chavez when he first started on some financial assistance for the needy. She had nothing good to say about him.

        • Yes, and Mabus recently named a ship after Chavez:

Mr. Mabus named one combat logistics force supply ship after civil rights leader Medgar Evers and a second one after leftist farmworker organizer Cesar Chavez.

Until that point, the Lewis and Clark-class dry cargo ships had been named for famous explorers or people who made significant contributions to the armed forces.

Chavez served briefly in the Navy after World War II. A biographer wrote that he considered it the worst time of his life.

Critics said there were better choices if the Navy wanted to honor a Hispanic.

“The one that got the most attention from people who couldn’t really quite figure out whether that was the appropriate thing to do or even related much to the military was the Cesar Chavez and the Jack Murtha,” Mr. Blunt told reporters. “People in the Chavez case could not figure out the linkage.”

Also, this article from May 16th notes at the very end that the Chavez ship was recently christened:

And last week, the Navy christened a ship named after labor leader Cesar Chavez, despite opposition from conservatives.

  2. The Grifters never want to be reminded of their life of corruption and their unsavory friends in Chicago – Jeremiah Wright, Rezko, Ayers, Blago, Rahm, etc. They clawed their way out of the ghetto on the backs of Chicago’s poor blacks – leaving them worse off than before. Why would they every show their faces in Chicago again? They have paid off their Chicago friends – Eric Whittaker at the U. of C., Ploufe, Axelrod…and have taken their only friend, Val Jar, with them.

They won’t stay in D.C. either – everyone despises them. They will tale their ill-gotten gains and live like royalty – I only hope it’s not in my city where the Hollywood celebs live! The ‘real’ people here despise them and their gaudy lifestyle. I pity their neighbors – wherever they move!

    • When we discussed this in the comments a few weeks ago, I think Keith said he sees a mansion in Potomac. We’re just not going to get rid of these two, unfortunately.

      • I think a mansion on the Potomac is above their paygrade ;) Plus, they’ll be paying for their staff this time, not us!!

I don’t know what their income’s going to look like post-Presidency, but the way they like to spend it’s ain’t gonna’ be enough !

  3. So when do you suppose Michelle cut out of DC to get to NYC for her whirlwind garden book tour? Last night?

I guess she thinks Americans are stupid, that we might actually believe she cares about gardening or has ever pulled a weed or held a rake, other than for a phony photo-op.

  4. It’s too bad that Ed Klein isn’t invited to do a ‘whirlwind’ tour with his new book – “The Amateur” which will be #1 on the NYT best seller list this week! He does a great job of illustrating Michelle LaVaughn’s evil persona. The unwashed masses are so gullible!

    • Have any of the MSM book reviewers published about “The Amateur”
or is he being frozen out?
I hope he makes a mint. I hope the MSM notes thar’s gold in them thar hills and follows the money. Of course, by that time, they’ll be a day late and a dollar short.
