As of now, I am in control here, in the White House

Quote of the Day || February 3, 2012

“It has come to my attention that the Catholic church is discriminating against certain of its employees by requiring that they be unmarried as a condition of employment. We have launched a full investigation and expect to file a lawsuit soon.”

– Attorney General Eric Holder

A note from our attorneys: This is not a real quote

  1. “Once the lawsuit against the Catholics is resolved, we will set our sights on the Jewish religion. We have documented numerous reports from non-Jews of child abuse occurring at ceremonies they call a bris.”

    – Eric Holder

  2. it has also come to our attention that the Catholic Church owns thousands of parcels of real estate that NO property taxes are paid on. Obviously this will be investigated as this tax free real estate status only applies to members of the Administration and Congress. The Hon. Charles Rangel will have subpoena power.

  3. So, Keith, I shamelessly copied this as a facebook status and one of my, ahem, er…

    Staunchly Liberal friends responded,

    “OMG, is this real?”

I think this is an instance to draw some interesting conclusions.
Sometimes people have such political exhaustion that they might actually not only believe this quote, they don’t have the (properly directed) cynicism to question the actions of “one of their Chosen Ones appointees.”
This was from a very intelligent woman, albeit one that has recently retired and been inculcated with the perceptions of the Teachers union via her own and her husbands employment for many decades. In my attempts to occasionally nudge her off the extremely high left leaning pedestal, she has rabidly informed me that she has nothing but praise for anything related to the current administration. I think she would be hard pressed to come up with ANY criticism of it.

    Sad, really.

    • Marriage is a wonderful institution. Heck, I’ve done it three times myself, and may, one day, do it again. But as the old saying goes, “Who wants to live in an institution?”
