In the history of mankind, many republics have risen, have flourished for a less or greater time, and then have fallen because their citizens lost the power of governing themselves and thereby of governing their state. TR

  1. Another whiffleball schedule. Regional news interviews? Any thoughts on how these markets were picked?
Keith:Would you do a side by side remarks comparison on the Hanukkah receptions from years past like you did at the Christmas tree lighting?

  2. I bet the Hanukkah remarks will stick in his craw!

Did he bother to mention the 60th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor yesterday?

    1. 70th anniv. Correction. BTW: history trivia: The USS Enterprise steamed into Pearl on Dec 8th. 70 yrs ago today. In an immense effort to re-equip the Enterprise and return to sea to hunt the Japs, the harbor facilities completed the re-equip in 48 hours, a job that normally took two weeks!

      1. Thanks for the correction. Interesting bit of trivia…shows what we can do when we have an important job to do!
        I served on the USS Constellation (CV64) 1981 -83

  3. LMAO@obama getting his Daily Briefing at 9:30. I bet he shows up in his jammies and smoking jacket like Hugh Hefner at the Playboy Mansion …

  4. So does the daily briefing consist of Michelle telling Barry what, when and where he is supposed to be, and say ?
And also, whether he has an appointment for a Christmas Party in the White House ?
Is Bill Clinton in the wings while they are in HI to conduct the press conferences in the Ones absence ?

  5. Keith–I think you are finding it rather amusing that “the president” has the WH Hanukkah celebration on Dec. 8 when the actual celebration begins on the 20th(guess he plans on being on vacation then)–I find it even funnier that the fool lights ALL the candles on the manorah at the same time. Guess he never heard the Hanukkah song that tells about lighting the candles “one for each night.”
