In the history of mankind, many republics have risen, have flourished for a less or greater time, and then have fallen because their citizens lost the power of governing themselves and thereby of governing their state. TR

Pelosi’s District Gets Extra Obamacare Waivers

It’s good to be the queen.

In an example of the type of reporting we don’t see enough of these days, the Daily Caller reveals that last month, nearly a fifth of the waivers from Obamacare requirements went directly to House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi’s district.

Of the 204 new Obamacare waivers President Barack Obama’s administration approved in April, 38 are for fancy eateries, hip nightclubs and decadent hotels in House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi’s Northern California district . . .

Pelosi’s district secured almost 20 percent of the latest issuance of waivers nationwide, and the companies that won them didn’t have much in common with companies throughout the rest of the country that have received Obamacare waivers.

Of course, Pelosi’s district has way more constituents than most other House districts.

Wait a second . . .

  1. I’m shocked to find this out.

In other news, Inspector Renault was shocked to find out that gambling was going on in Rick’s.

  2. And Gov. Palin has come out swinging on this. Calling the Troika of Barry/San Fran Nan/Hairy Reid ‘CORRUPT!!!”

    http://dailycaller.com/2011/05/17/gov-sarah-palin-on-pelosi-districts-obamacare-waivers-seriously-this-is-corrupt/

Not too worry…I am sure, now that the the BIG boys of Mittens, Eye of Newt, Pawlenty et al, have Palin’s skirts to hide behind, they TOO will be calling out the corruption of it all.

Sound of crickets (or is that Palin’s heals in kicka$$ mode?)

    1. Whoever said some docs were not going to treat fat women, was right.

Some South Florida doctors are refusing to treat otherwise-healthy women because they are too fat, the Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Sun Sentinel reports.

The newspaper says that 15 of the 105 South Florida obstetrics-gynecology practices it surveyed turn down new patients who exceed obesity limits, with weight cut-offs starting at 200 pounds.

At least it’s only women being discriminated against–we’re used to it. I cannot tell you how many stupid comments I have had from so-called physicians. You know–people who took an oath to treat people…those physicians.

  3. Oh, and speaking of waivers–I remember one of my eye doctors’ nurses telling me they had the WORST insurance EVAH in that office. The doctor’s office–worst insurance.

  4. wow.
I never saw or hear this “reported” by the ‘Main-Stream Sycophant Media’… (re: AP, ABC, CBS, CNN, NBC/MSNBC, NPR etc.)
