In the history of mankind, many republics have risen, have flourished for a less or greater time, and then have fallen because their citizens lost the power of governing themselves and thereby of governing their state. TR

  1. Mr Boehner’s maybe compromise on the elimination of the tax cuts has made the WH dizzy with claims of victory. Unfortunately, Mr Boehner’s sort-of concession has made all of O’s campaign speeches moot.
Mr Axelrod is a delusional idiot; the HealthCareReform act is hated by the majority of Americans and is probably un-constitutional, to boot.
What went wrong with O..see above.
GOP possible candidates for the Presidency are in no hurry and don’t wish to give O any possible heads-up notice. As long as O continues chosing to give an opinion opposite to the opinion of the majority of the voters on every issue, the Repubs will just wait it out until Spring 2011.
I see a dark horse lurking, a new, fresh candidate.

  2. I saw the highlights of Mr Gumby’s interview on FOX. hmm.
As the world turns, Mr Gumby is in the WH basement being re-educated on the Acceptable Agenda as outlined by Mr Axelrod in Gumby’s employment contract.

  3. Mr Gumby—rubberman…not bad. We need to decide on a good nickname…Dweebie, Mr Slippery….I will work on it. I actually make money naming things. This is a toughie, though.

  4. Just read Howard Fineman’s Newsweek peice:

Obama did not misread “the mandate”, his “surroundings” or “the clock” as Fineman wrote. Obama misread the American people. Mr. Obama rejected his country’s culture by adopting “the world, when he stated, “I am a citizen of the globe.”

Our President is American, but outside of heterosexual marriage, he has nothing in common with the commoners. He rejects the very sinew of American society. He rejects the egalitarian nature of debate and disagreement. He rejects the Constitutional freedoms of firearms, and to leave “what is not given to the legislature, back to the states.”

This is an extremely educated (but ignorant), calculating (but naive), prescient (but unrealistic) man who lacks even the most basic understandings of civil jurisprudence when he opened his mouth . . . and said the “cops made a stupid decision” in the Massachusetts arrest of an activist (but stupid) college professor.

Mr. Obama is, by far, the worst, sitting President, ever.
