Obamas Sign Multi-Year Deal with Netflix

According to CNN:

The Obamas said Monday that they want to harness “the power of storytelling” to promote common values.

“We hope to cultivate and curate the talented, inspiring, creative voices who are able to promote greater empathy and understanding between peoples, and help them share their stories with the entire world,” Barack Obama said in a statement.

“Netflix’s unparalleled service is a natural fit for the kinds of stories we want to share, and we look forward to starting this exciting new partnership,” Michelle Obama added.

The Obamas now need to hire a team of producers. They have set up a company called Higher Ground Productions “as the entity under which they will produce content for Netflix,” Netflix said.

I had already canceled my subscription, but I’m going to do it again just to make sure.

  1. I can hardly wait!
Do you think they’d be interested in my story about how I was able to confuse people about my gender and political affiliation all the while planning on voting for MrTrump?
    oh wait
How about a compelling life story of how the Dem party was able to transform a born and bred ‘look for the union label’ supporter into a MAGA Trump supporter?
    Guess not, huh.
    Oh well.
There’s always Amazon Prime video if Bezos doesn’t jack up the price anymore.

  2. It won’t work. Just being honest. In the real world unlike in government you have to perform. Netflix is the real world. I predict that he “decides” to spend his time elsewhere when he starts not performing.

  3. It won’t work. In the real world you have to perform. Obama has only worked in government where performance does not matter. I predict after a mediocre at best performance he will “decide” to put his efforts elsewhere into charitable foundations where he can take a percentage of what he raises as a slush fund like Hillary.

  4. So they are hiring a team of producers and will then (if successful) take credit for something they didn’t do. Yep, sounds about right. I had been thinking about ditching cable and substituting a variety of other services, including Netflix, instead…..guess not.

  5. It was pretty clear she was desirous of a career in show biz all of the eight years she had the chance. Never met a camera she didn’t love or a cheesy show to appear on.
