As of now, I am in control here, in the White House

Top Gay Rights Group Targeting Pence

Vice President Mike Pence, normally viewed as a kind of bland character with strong moral principles, is now the target of an effort to turn him into the Nancy Pelosi of the Republican Party, a person to be demonized and used to raise money off of while their effectiveness as a leader is undermined.

According to Politico:

The Human Rights Campaign, a leading LGBT rights organization, is launching a sustained attack against Pence, with a website, videos and a lengthy report to be released on Thursday. The materials were shown to POLITICO early.

The attack from a key player in the Democratic base comes as Pence is campaigning heavily for Republicans ahead of the 2018 midterms. And as Trump’s legal troubles expand, from the special counsel probe to a federal investigation of his personal attorney, some Democrats are beginning to train their fire on Pence in case the president doesn’t run for re-election in 2020 or gets removed from office.

“Mike Pence has made a career out of attacking the rights and equal dignity of LGBTQ people, women and other marginalized communities,” Chad Griffin, the president of HRC, said in a statement. “Now as vice president, he poses one of the greatest threats to equality in the history of our movement. With the world distracted by Donald Trump’s scandal-ridden White House, Mike Pence’s nefarious agenda has been allowed to fly under the radar for too long. He has become not only the most powerful vice president in American history, but also the least scrutinized.”

“This is just another politically-motivated attack on the VP by a left-wing organization closely aligned with the Democratic Party,” said Pence press secretary Alyssa Farah.

Well, I’ll tell you what else this is. It’s part of a sustained effort to criminalize Christianity, the religion upon whose principles this country was founded.

Here’s a video off the new anti-Pence website.

  1. Do these loons actually believe this $hit or is it just the way they go about trying to attain power and stay in power?
It’s so blatantly ludicrous, sometimes its hard to tell if they are really cunning or impossibly stupid.

  2. “This is just another politically-motivated attack on the VP by a left-wing organization closely aligned with the Democratic Party,” said Pence press secretary Alyssa Farah.

    Yep,…that’s exactly right.
They can’t tolerate anybody with outstanding morals.
Keep it up lefties, you are going to go down in flames in the next election.

  3. Identity politics groups need a common enemy in order to keep peace among themselves. If I were trying to create trouble, I’d set up events that pit the groups against each other. The Starbucks vs. BLM is a good example – ultra-left company now targeted for shakedown, imo.

    • its even better than you think. a radical leftist group (the womens march) group run by anti-semites who hate israel and support louis farrakhan, is attacking starbucks (a leftist jewish company) because they hired a moderate leftist jewish entity (the ADL) that mildly criticised a virulently antisemitic islamist (linda sarsour) who barred jewish women from the womens march unless they renounced israel. one needs a scorecard, but its fun to watch leftists attack each other for not being leftist enough.

      • It’s what they do and have always done. In the ’20s and ’30s in Germany the streets were rocked and shocked with the frekikorps movement which pitted the rising fascist(Nazi) movement against the German communists. The fascists were not far enough left for the communists, and the result was war in the streets. Both ideologies are on the left, but fascism isn’t quite far enough left to suit the communists, so they like to claim it’s on the right. Like the of their argument it’s crap.

  4. Yawn.

The only people who haven’t moved on from the LGBTQXYZBBQ issues are the zealots still demanding we celebrate their nonsense.

    • We are only permitted to believe what “they” (whoever “they” are at any given moment in the culture wars). If we don’t, we are haters, deplorables and bigots and must be publicly shamed. The corporate media will helpfully oblige and enable the shaming process, as we know.

  5. “…poses the greatest threat in history to the equality of our movement …” it’s about time. For 250 years the freedom to exclude has been erased from our minds as a rational human practice through murderous revolution & psychowarfare. Forced inclusivity is how distinction, purity, & will are flat-lined to make it easy for the ‘more equal’ to steal-kill-destroy those whom they rule. Liberty includes the right to exclude anyone for any sane reason.

  6. I wonder if these fools realize that, as they solidify their base and try to ramp up their enthusiasm, they are also raising the intensity level for those of us who oppose the entire left and everything they stand for. I think we should encourage them to continue.
