Ex-Trump Campaign Adviser Pleads Guilty to Lying to the FBI

Former Trump campaign foreign policy adviser George Papadopoulos has pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI about a conversation he had with a Russian professor who had close ties to the Russian government.

Papadopoulos reportedly told the FBI that the professor was “a nothing.” But it turned out he told Papadopoulos that he had “dirt” on Hillary Clinton and “thousands of emails.”

According to the New York Times, Papadopoulos “repeatedly tried to arrange a meeting between the Trump campaign and Russian government officials, court records show.”

  1. “dirt on Clintons”? We all have “dirt on Clintons”.
How is any of this related to Russian collusion by the Trump campaign to ruin a free election?

  2. This country’s “Law Enforcement” and their families had better be ready for what is coming at them if they continue their ways.

When there is no Rule of Law, it works BOTH ways.

    • We’ve absolutely had it with this witch hunt by Mueller. We all know he’s a Clinton/Obama lackey, meanwhile the Trump dossier has been exposed as a fraud and was financed by the Clinton Campaign criminals. When will the Clinton’s/Obama be held accountable, they’re the real crooks. Jeff Sessions had better find his backbone, un-recuse himself and get busy prosecuting Clinton, otherwise We the People will.

  3. Here’s my question….exactly what kind of a “foreign policy advisor” was Papadopoulous? At the same level as Carter Smith? Because if so, he was an extremely minor, minor character who probably didn’t have anything to do with the campaign at higher levels. I believe he’s about 30 years old, and I wonder if he was going around trying to represent himself as more important than he was in reality. AND, this plea apparently was make some time ago but only now made public….but it has NOTHING to do with Manafort (as we understand things so far).
