Sen. Bob Corker, R-Tenn., today continued his feud with President Trump, accusing Trump of “stating untruths that everybody knows to be untrue.” In various interviews and appearances today, Corker said Trump will be remembered for “debasing the nation” and wouldn’t say whether he trusts Trump with the nuclear launch codes.

Well, it’s certainly true that Trump can too often be found “stating untruths.” And his behavior can be uncouth, at a minimum. But American voters who elected Trump made their peace with this because they decided people like Corker were politely causing more trouble than Trump would.
Corker, you’ll remember, provided Barack Obama cover when he needed it to secure congressional acquiescence in the Iran deal, which eventually grants Iran nuclear weapons and possibly ENDS THE WORLD.
Now, what could be more dishonest than Corker’s sleight of hand, which required only one-third of the Senate to approve what was a de facto treaty instead of the two-thirds required under the Constitution? And what will be more debasing to the United States than an Iranian nuclear weapon landing on our heads?
