Trump Seeks to Help Baby the UK Government Wants to Let Die

President Trump is offering to help the parents of the dying baby Charlie Gard, whose petition to try to get Charlie treatment in the United States has been rejected by the British government as useless.

According to a White House spokeswoman:

Upon learning of baby Charlie Gard’s situation, President Trump has offered to help the family in this heartbreaking situation. Although the President himself has not spoken to the family, he does not want to pressure them in any way, members of the administration have spoken to the family in calls facilitated by the British government. The President is just trying to be helpful if at all possible.

Due to legal issues, we can not confirm the name of doctor or hospital where the baby could be treated in the United States.

  1. I’ve been following this story, and it’s been a sad, heartbreaking story for the parents and the child, thanks to the British government and their NHS (the UK government health care contraption they suffer under over there).

It’s a powerful lesson about what happens when government bureaucrats and geeks decide who will and who will not receive health care or even proper palliative care. They should be ashamed of themselves. President Trump has stepped up to help, but who knows how that will turn out. BTW, Obama was a huge fan of the NHS. He thought it was great.

  2. Butbutbut…the narrative!

Donald Trump has just done more to fight socialized medicine in Britain, than the GOPe Congress has done to fight socialized medicine in the United States.

This Congress should be ashamed of itself.

  3. OT I saw a comment to the effect that the US is a good neighbor. Being:

    Mexico’s welfare department and

a life saving option to Canada’s single payer system.

  4. If this does ever appear in the MSM, it will be framed as “grandstanding”, or subverting England’s health care, or some fiendish plot to increase his or his friends’ wealth.

After all, Trump is our enemy, and everything he stands for needs to be vilified, no matter how pure it is. The good news is that the more the MSM bends over backwards to paint him as evil, the more the the moderates will realize they have been drinking Kool-Aid. I hope.

  5. Of the baby- boomer generation of presidents (Clinton, Bush, jr., &B.O.), Trump & 1st Lady may actually rise above the cesspool of that generation’s failed watch (due in part to the MSM AS ‘American culture’ since1965) and his true legacy may not be realized until the passing of the hep-c generation!
